In PPR leagues, his production did drop off from over 23 ppg avg in the first 8 games to 17 per game in the final 8.

I was MJD's biggest believer going into last year. Mighty Mouse did not disappoint on paper, but after a torrid 4 game stretch (wks 6-10) where he had 94 car. for 530 yds (5.6) and 7 TD's, he was pretty mediocre. From fantasy weeks 11-16 he put up 127 car. for 419 (3.3) and 4 total TD's (3 rushing 1 receiving). Some of this can be attributed to wear and tear, but allot of it can be attributed to how the whole team played during this stretch. After week 11 Jax was sitting at 6-4 with playoff hopes. They won one more game the entire year. I think the fact that the Jax offense is so predictable and mediocre will make MJD more inconsistent than the other top 3 backs. I still have him at #4 overall, but I do have some reservations.

Jones-Drew's production tailed off in the second half in 2009 — he averaged 3.7 yards per carry in the last seven games after banging out 5.1 yards per carry in the first nine games

Just something to think about...

He's opponent had him on his fantasy roster and in order for him to make it into the playoffs he had to slide

Actually, he said that in his FFB leagues, players are suppose to have themselves on their team. He's a dam good FFB wizzy!

looking at MJD's schedule, it's on the positive side....but off the top of my head and looking at the schedule, I see 9 favorable matchups and 6 unfavorable matchups from weeks 1-16 (minus week 17)...

I still have him as the 4th best RB and Gore could overtake him for that spot, but it would take a lot for me to swing my opinion in that direction...

Ray Rice before MJD? In PPR, Standard, or doesn't matter. Not knocking you, just trying to see why.

I like Ray Rice better in both, but I'm of the opinion that Rice gets more Goalline opportunities this year. Rice is just more consistent than MJD since he's just on a better all around team/offense.

in my local last year it was...

(PPR scoring)

CJ

.....

.......

Rice

.....

MJD

AD

.....

........

Gore

......

...

Addai

I like Rice's offense more than MJD's and he'll have more opportunity to run the ball as well...and although MJD has a more favorable schedule, Rice catches out of the backfield better than MJD...
