Yeah, it's actually maddening for me to hear local radio callers spout about how much improved Ponder looked the last 4 games. To me, he looked good in 1 game... the finale against Green Bay. In the prior 3 wins Ponder tossed for 91, 131 and 174 yards. Peterson racking up 700 yards in those 3 games made Ponder irrelevent, invisible. In those 3 games he had 1 total passing TD. That last game vs. Green Bay followed by him being out for the playoff loss was a double whammy worst case scenario... allowing Ponder to exit 2012 at his solitary high point of the season and, by appearances, causing delusional history revisionism. Really wish things would have turned out different, and the Vikes would have looked at a guy like Palmer. But I suppose being an owner of 2 Arizona WRs, I shouldn't complain too much. At least Ponder isn't in Arizona.
Pertinent to my prior post, see below for absolute blashphemy:

In fact, Spielman told Albert Breer of NFL Network that he believes Ponder is as responsible as anyone, Peterson included, for the way the Vikings fought their way into the playoffs at the end of the season.
“
I give him just as much credit for getting us in the playoffs as Adrian,” Spielman said.
Spielman said that the Vikings’ four-game winning streak to close the regular season showed a lot from the team’s young players, including Ponder.
“When we did have that dip last year, when we lost some games, and we had to win those four games to get in the playoffs, that showed maturation of this roster, as those young guys started to grow and handle that pressure of everything that was at stake as we went through that last part of the season,” Spielman said. “So you’re hoping and you’re expecting that to carry on to this year.”
Clearly, the front office has utterly drowned itself drinking Ponder Kool Aid.
