vikings2010
does anybody think matt forte will do what he did his rookie year again?
Avernus
I thought he could, but he's just too slow...he needs to be used in the passing game which I think he'll be slighted in favor of Taylor..
MTSuper7
Cutler won't use Forte the same way Orton used Forte that year. Cutler would rather throw into coverage than check down to his RBs. Don't hold your breath on Forte becoming a top 5 RB this year (or beyond even).
Scooby's Hubby
I am not feeling it, when it comes to Forte. I get the sense that he has lost his luster and he may not really be Martz material. Remember, M. Faulk was highly touted in college and a heisman candidate every year and considered a guaranteed success and genetic football star, that ain't Forte, and I really don't expect anything near Faulk like numbers just because Martz is there. Cutler also scares me, where he is rated around 7th at his position. LoL
half_hennessy
Forget about it I like Forte but he is running behind the worst line in football they are disgusting in run blocking no push whatsoever. best he could hope for behind that line is maybe 10-15 area. As far as Cutler goes he is everyones favourite whipping boy guess we'll see if everyone is still there at the end of the season.
buddahj
I think he's a "one year wonder".

Peterson caught what 40+ balls last year? If Martz is so pass-happy, why won't Forte catch his share? He won't repeat his rookie year, but IMO the Taylor thing is overblown. I see a slight uptick from last year for Forte, making him a viable, maybe even good, RB2.
doobwaa
CTaylor is better suited to the Martz RB style, I wouldnt be suprised if Forte ended up splitting time 50/50 at best.

Cutler doesn't like throwing to RB's and Taylor is looking real sharp in the passing game so far in camp.... Martz is going to want to use a player that suits his offense more - hello Chester Taylor
BeeR
Cutler doesn't like throwing to RB's Forte caught 57 balls. I'm not exactly worried about that. Martz is going to want to use a player that suits his offense moreAnd that would be Taylor because.......... It's hard to say really and I like Taylor, but IMO no way does he take over as RB1. He'll get a 30 or 40% slice at most, and I suspect somewhat less. I admit it's largely a hunch but IMO a logical one.
