Waiver Wire Budget on Westbrook

Hey, I have Frank Gore on my roster in a 12 team, head to head, PPR Yahoo league.

We have the "waiver wire budget" system, where everyone starts with $100 and the highest bidder gets the player.

I am just wondering how much everyone think is worth bidding on Westbrook (to keep him as my handcuff to Gore).

good article from the huddle about reset and RB's in 2010. They were discussing RBBC situations and i remember they brought a good point up. They only signed B. Westbrook when they were faced with injuries and G. Coffee retiring; Meaning they dont plan to incorporate him too much from what it sounded.

I cant find the article now but i read it just a few hours ago and it made sense to me. I dont think gore will loose much.

I agree, but now this just brings up 2 questions for me...

Glen Coffee was developing as a player, so they we almost "forced" into using Gore a lot more... I don't see Westbrook as a replacement for Coffee...he adds a lot more than Coffee ever could have... and they won't be paying Westbrook $1.25 million for nothing... I can't see him simply being Coffee's "replacement".

Also, will this be the same situation as in Atlanta? Westbrook has more value than Dixon while Gore is healthy (just like Norwood does when Turner is healthy), but if Gore goes down, does Dixon become the starter (just like Snelling would)?

i agree and i think you answered your own question. signing him means they will use him. I dont know enough about all this to speculate any further about it though. My novice opinion says to me that Gore is going to work hard but not as hard as he did last year now that they have another decent RB to entertain. But i dont think RBBC is in the future here. Whats Singletery's history say? or the OC? maybe their history will have some insight on this?

Some really convincing stuff on RBBC and the league in general (^^^ missing link form my post above ^^^)
