Zooty
I was just going to throw some stuff out. Things I've read and stuff I've heard on NFL radio. I make a not if its my opinion but I'm not adding any links Most of my leagues combine DT/DE and CB/S so I won't be much help there. Feel free to add BAL- Dline- Outside of Suggs (who is really a LB) no much value here. Maybe Nagata or Gregg in DT leagues LB- Interesting battle at LB next to Ray but probably no more than LB4 value there. Ellerbe seems back ahead again but probably Gooden's kob someday DB- CBs are a mess, Reed is out. Landry may be worth a flier Bills Dline- Yuck, I'm staying far away. Williams at DT? LB- After Pos also a mess. Maybin is out of favor again, Andra Davis could be of some value DB- Corners have been good in the past. Value at S if you can guess who starts- Byrd, Wilson, Whitner, Scott Bengals DL- Odom coming off the achillies, too much risk IMO, Geathers finally rebounds? Peko could contibute in DT leagues LB- Mauluga still stuck at SLB, Dhani is ugly but productive inside, Rivers under-acheives. Best case is Johnson stays at SLB and Rey moves to MLB and Jones comes off the bench DB- Ndukwe back to the bench. Roy Williams still not covering WRs. How does Giril Wilson fit in? Great CBs Cleveland DL- S. Rogers and some other guys. LB- Jackson hurt again. I think Gocong and Roth could surprise here. Possible that another guy steps up too. They have enough to choose from DB- Nice CBs. 2 rookie safeties? Elam may by a steal if he keeps the SS job Denver DL- see Cle but no Rogers LB- DJ Williams may need to make every tackle. Ayodele could have value by default. Ayers and Moss are really going to need to step up. CB- Baily is a stud so he doesn't help in fantasy. Dawkins is going to see a lot of opps with that front 7. Perish Cox could end up as the 2nd CB and could be productive as a rookie Houston DL- Mario emerging. Smith or Barwin has to step up. Coaches must like what they see if they didn't make a strong run for Schobel LB- Ryans is a stud, I wouldn't be surprised if Cushings balls fall off disappoints now that he's off the 'roids. Diles seems average to me but I've heard good things about Little Al Sharpton DBs- Pollard is a stud, FS has been unproductive and Quin could have some value as the #1 corner but the #2 corner probably scores more points. Depends how that shakes out Indy DL- Freeny and Mathis are good but lack tackle numbers. DT is pretty thin. Hughes should be a nice player but probably doesn't start till next year barring injury LB- Brackett is back as well as Session. Wheeler has no impact and Anger still looks a year or 2 away DB- Sanders is iffy like usual but a stud when he plays. Bethea is becoming the real value here. Hayden and Powers should both be productive corners with good tackle numbers as teams try to keep up Jax DL- Kampman back? I'm betting on it. Harvey still hasn't emerged. DTs need to produce LB- Smith moved to SLB may not help his numbers. Durant to the bench? Really? Hopefully he produces from the WLB. Morrison probably the only safe play here DBs- Mathis and Cox look good., The Safeties, not so much. Nelson still a disappointment KC DL- No value here. Dorsey and Jackson are high picks but not very productive in a 3-4 LB- D Johnson is the best LB but will he get to play? Demarrio Williams is pretty good but from what I read he plays the same spot as DJ. Belcher or Mayes may be the sneaky play at ILB. OLB- outside of Hali not much of a factor DBs- Carr and Flowers are good corners. Berry may be a play if he ends up at SS but he's looking more like a FS. The SS outside of the rookie Lewis look average at best. I'd take Lewis late and cross my fingers MIA DL- Starks moves to DT and should help in DT required. DEs are pedestrian LB- Dansby is a stud. Crowder has regressed, I'd pass. Not sure I'm a beliver in Wake but he was a monster in Canada. Misi could develop DBs- Solid corners. Bell is still a stud NE DL- Outside of Wilfork at DT the line is a mess LB- Mayo and ???. Spikes if he can beat out Guyton. Haven't seen any of their games yet so don't know how its playing out. Outside is Banta-Cain (below average IMO) and ??? DBs- Merriweather and Chung look good since Mayo can't tackle everyone. Bodden and a rookie at CB? $$ Jets DL- Ellis is a rare producer at 3-4 DE LB- Harris is a stud. Scott and Pace can fill in for you. I wouldn't expect Taylor to see the field enough outside of passing downs to have value as a LB DBs- Cromartie or Wilson should be good opposite Revis. Both if he keeps holding out. Don't like the safeties at all but Leonhard could be a desperation play Raiders DL- Coming along- Seymour will probably end up at DT. Houston and Shaunassy could pay off long-term. Wimbley and Scott are supposed to be the ends on pass downs. LB- Like McClain, pass on the rest. Wimbley and Scott will be on the field all 3 downs but as ends. good for big play leagues. Howard and Brown look to be the odd men out. DBs- Nmandi- no value to us. Johnson at the other CB should be good. Branch should be a stud again unless weird Al forces his 2 high picks onto the field Steelers DL- Smith and maybe Hood. hampton as a DT LB- farrior is fading. Foote was brought in to spell him and Timmons. May dilute all the value. Woodly is developing as the next James Harrison who may not hold up much longer DBs- Troy is back. great value till he breaks himself again.Clark probably worth a hold in deep leagues Chargers DL- no value LB- Cooper should hold on another year or 2. I expect Silar and Burnett to rotate but Silar should be the dynasty play. Merriman is done IMO. Phillips and English have value in big play leagues DB- Weddle may regress especially is Stuckey ends up at SS then he is the play Ten DL- I like Hayes, Morgan could surprise as rookie. Brown at DT is pretty good LB- Tulloch has 3 down duty now, OLBs are a ? McRath suspended, Thornton still starting and Witherspoon on the bench. Wait to see how it shakes out DBs- Finnegan and a young corner- good buys. Griffin still not quite productive enough and Hope has faded. T_bone65
I have been hearing that McClain is winning the other ILB along side Ray Ray in Baltimore. I also hope that Ayers and Siler both step up this year as well

Nice pre-season fodder but both are far more talented. Just my
Rovers
B Poole may be a sneaky play in the Jets D backfield in tackle heavy leagues. I drafted both Wilson and Cromartie, as one of them or both (depending on Revis) will get picked on a lot. Cro has big play potential, and if Wilson starts, he will be thrown at plenty. One of the Raven's CB's is gonna put up points. They are so depleted at the position, it's risky to even draft one, but they will be thrown at early and often. I like Landry. Elam is definitely on my radar. Could be a great late value pick. Bailey is always nice depth. Great bye week guy, or even #3 DB value. He has that big play potential, always did, still has it. I think Spikes is a sleeper. Good late round pick. I rolled the dice and took Cushing late. Good gamble in the late rounds, as is Thomas Davis if you have the roster room to carry them. Nice post. Just added some of my takes for possibly more discussion.
