Kegerator...Just in time for the NFL season

I recently converted a refridgerator I had in my workshop into a kegerator. Co2 tap and all. The beer faucet comes right through the door, and I can keep frosted mugs in the freezer to boot. I first went through a 1/6 barrle of a local German style micro-brewery, Heinzelmannchen Ancient Days Honey Blonde Ale. It was quiet tasty, but I now have a 1/2 barrel of Heineken in the beast of a machine. I can't wait for Week 1! If any of you have a spare fridge, I highly recommend you buy a conversion kit and do it to it. With today's struggling economy it pays to buy in bulk...:lol::(:(:lol::tup:

So there is a conversion kit out there? I have the pony keg and tap and fridge. I just need a set of plans so I know what I am doing. What is this kit you speak of?

just google kegerator conversion kit & you'll find what you need

Going 10 years strong on my kegerator conversion! I like kegworks.com Also, go a little higher quality on the regulator and faucet, it is worth it. We also have a local home brew place that sells kits here! Love mine, every guy should have one!

Agreed! I went with the dual gauge regukator as well. I picked up a tap for US kegs and another for European kegs. A lot of my local micro0brews are US sankey coupler, but the Heineken and Amstel Light are EU.

Did the same thing a couple of years ago. Totally awesome.

Really easy too as all you have to do is drill about a 1" hole for the faucet to fit through and the rest is just hooking up the tubes.

After a couple of years I finally had to put myself on restriction Monday - Thursday because I was drinking too much (finishing kegs too fast and gaining weight). Since implementing this new rule I have lost 10 lbs.

Still get as much as I want on the weekends though!

Oh, and go ahead and just get a 1/2 keg. They are cheaper and it won't go bad.
