JUMbotron
Jacksonville Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew (knee) is expected to sit out the rest of the preseason because of a minor knee injury, sources told Aaron Wilson, of NationalFootballPost.com. Jones-Drew recently underwent an arthroscopic procedure to clean out his knee. He is expected to be ready for the start of the season. Huddle Up: The National Football Post added Jones-Drew had been dealing with "lingering meniscus issues." It was deemed a "routine" procedure but it's got to be of some concern to MJD-owners. This helps explain his negative yards per carry average (-0.3) in August. Hopefully the remaining 16 days until kickoff will help Jones-Drew get ready. Rashad Jennings just entered the late rounds of fantasy drafts if he wasn't handcuffed already. http://www.thehuddle.com/fantasy_football_news.php JUM Edited August 27, 2010 by JUMbotron

JUMbotron
Now Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times Union tweets that MJD's agent says his client did not have knee surgery. http://twitter.com/taniaganguli/status/22299532942 maurice jones-drew did not make the trip to Tampa, but his agent said the report he had surgery was "absolutely false." #jaguars 32 minutes ago via web Edited August 27, 2010 by JUMbotron
loaf
Really? even in 1/2PPR leagues? Rice had the most targets of any RB last season. I have him over MJD in my PPR rankings.
JUMbotron
http://www.thehuddle.com/fantasy_football_news.php Updating a previous report, Jacksonville Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew's (knee) agent said there is no truth to the report that Jones-Drew recently underwent knee surgery, reports Tania Ganguli, of The Florida Times-Union. Huddle Up: The fun begins... actually it's not fun at all for MJD-owners, who would really appreciate the truth one way or the other. Whatever the case, Jones-Drew did not travel to Tampa for the exhibition game so there is some sort of injury issue. It would be nice to hear there was no scope, however. Almost time to edit the thread title. Sigh, the information age needs to control its information.

Avernus
Its a good thing Gore has never had any knee issues....wait a minute... this is why I have Gore ranked as the 5th RB, but would take players at another position ahead of him.... MJD is still my 4th RB, but I would consider AJ over him at the 4 spot now if MJD really did get his knee scoped..
shotgun72
I think we may be blowing this whole knee scoped thing out of proporttion. He didn't have major knee reconstructive surgery. He got his knee cleaned out a bit. I think he will be fine for the season. That's why they are resting him in the preseason. A couple of weeks and he'll be good. If Welker can come back from MAJOR knee surgery in 7 months I think MJD can come back from this with no problems. But then again, I don't think Welker is human

I have 2 drafts this weekend one at pick 11 ( obviously gone by then) and one at 6. If for some reason he falls to 6 ( probly wont) I don't think I'm taking him. delfamdelfam
he's not playing in today's game so something is obviously wrong, with so much unknown I think I would take RR,Gore, and maybe even AJ before him.
