CardinalEmpire.com
Standard scoring league with team D, but one pretty unusual twist IMO. Instead of starting 2 RB's, this league only requires one. Full weekly lineup looks as follows: QB RB WR, WR RB/WR TE K D/ST It seems to me that drafting WR's a little earlier is the play, similar to a PPR. But I haven't figured out the nuances in 3 tries (won the 1st year, but then I had the Palmer/Ochocinco connection and backed into Sammy Morris and Ladell Betts in the playoffs). I supposed I could just chalk up my recent finishes to crappy luck drafting, but I'm interested to see how others would approach a league that only requires one RB start each week. Yes, besides the "find another league" comments... but those are welcome, too! LOL!
Grits and Shins
That is not really unusual, certainly not enough to dramatically change a typical draft strategy. Depending on where you draft in the first round you will take the best available RB or WR Depending on where you draft in the second round and who is left ... you will take the best WR or RB And so on ... kcmast
I would think there will be more WR/WR for people drafting towards the end of the round. You can take a risk on a couple of RBs and only have to have 1 pan out.

You can take a risk on a couple of RBs and only have to have 1 pan out. This seems to have been what has happened, too. An unusual number of guys each season end up playing 3 WR's rather than 2RB and 2WR. I have had a tendency to think I was getting huge value by grabbing 3 or 4 good RB's, but between my bust 1st rounder (Forte, Addai, Ronnie Brown the last three years) and the parity of the others I just end up picking the wrong guy each week. I'm really giving some thought this year to going WR/WR or WR/QB - particularly if I'm not one of the first 4 picks. Even if the chance RB's I take end up being no good, it seems like someone is always on the waiver after week 1 or 2 (DeAngelo Williams was on waivers after week 1 two years ago).
