sorry not exactly fantasy football related. But looking at my draft I see some players I know just by their first names, some you can say even out of context to football and people would know who you were talking about.

First who I mean would not own their name is someone like Jerry Rice. I mean we have Jerry Jones for another so you can't say 'how about Jerry, isn't he something?' and people would not know what you were taking about.

Of even Lawrance (Taylor) anymore since there is Lawrence Tynes or Maroney.

Same with DeAngelo or Adrian (could be either one)

Too bad with Peyton (since that darn Peyton Hillis came along).

you can't say "I got Chris" you still have to say "I got Chris Johnson"

On the Other hand if you say "I got Cedric" at least in the context of fantay football we all know who.

probably the best would be guys with weird names like:

Knowshon

Braylon

LeSean

Jerricho

Laurent

Jerious

Mercedes (and Cadilliac) those are not bad.

Who else has memorable first names? I wan tto say Andre Johnson (but not sure, I know there was Andre Dawson in baseball).

Pierre that's a good one and Visanthe (are you kidding me?)

could be active or old players. It used to be Troy was Aikman but now we all think Polamaua

I used to think Deion (Sanders) but now there is Branch.

I don't think we'll see another Ochocinco but that's made up so it doesn't count.

I'm pretty sure if someone says the name "Deion" to me, I'm not thinking of the WR in Seattle. He's still in Seattle, right?

What about "Joe"? nevermind...forgot about Namath. How 'bout Edward "Red" Grange? When someone says Red, he's the only guy I think of.

OT but I like it when there are two players with the same name like Adrian Peterson or Zach Miller so you can say, no not the good one, the other one. Especially when they play the same position.

It's also worth noting which guys fit this list just because they have goofy, made-up names (Knowshon) or guys with relatively normal names who are on the list because of being great. (Brett, Marshall, Troy, etc.)
