burton
Seems to be fine: Beanie Wells assured reporters Thursday night that he's "fine" after suffering a knee injury in Arizona's preseason finale.Indications on the sideline were also that the injury isn't serious, as he never went to the locker room and was allowed to stand with his teammates. Wells only had an ice bag on the knee, and isn't believed to need an MRI. At worst, he might be limited in a practice or two next week. It would be a surprise if Wells didn't play extensively in the opener against St. Louis RotoWorld

JUMbotron
They're calling it a bruise and Whisenhunt thinks Beanie will play. If he's listed as probable then it's a non-issue. http://twitter.com/cardschatter RB Beanie Wells didn't practice but Whiz said he still thinks he will play. about 12 hours ago via Twitter for BlackBerry®
burton
Coach Ken Whisenhunt suggested that Beanie Wells (knee) could be a game-time decision on Sunday after missing Thursday's practice."What concerns me, I don't want this to be something in Week 12, Week 13 or Week 14 that you are having issues with," Whisenhunt explained. "If we feel Beanie has made enough progress by Sunday, he will play. If we don't, like I said, I feel strongly about who we have at the position." It's time to take Wells out of fantasy lineups as a precaution. Adjustments can be made based Sunday morning's updates RotoWorld Edited September 9, 2010 by burton
