Are the top-3 QBs going in the first 2 rounds?

I am picking 1.2 but I don't mean this as an advice thread. I am just trying to get my numbers in order for picks 2.11 and 3.2 (since the top25 may be fairly generic or at least I can assume who will be gone at least the top20 or so).

 

Is it correct to assume that in some order Brees/Rodgers/Peyton will be gone in the top 24 picks and that no other non-WR/RB wil be taken in the top 24? (that means no other QB is taken and likely these three are being drafted in the top 24 picks).

 

assume a 12 team re-draft PPR league the top 24 picks (subtract three QBs) you will have some combination of 21 picks of RB and WR?

 

something like 9-10 will be WRs the other 12 give or take will be RBs?

I think after the top-3 the the rest I would be happy to wait on.

 

I do like Brady a lot. But there are so many good-ish QBs that I could pick up in the second half of the draft I would not be jumping on him early.

 

 

But this would help my plan if Brady bumps some top-10 RB/WR down

Brees went 7th in one and 8th in two, and 9th in another.

 

Manning went 10th in one of the 10 teams, 11th in the other ten team, 11th in the 12 team, and 12th in the 16 team league.

I see your point. And good info thanks but in essence it doesn't matter for me drafting at 2.11 would not matter either way if they go in the top10 or the second round as long as they are gone (likely) in the top 22. I am just trying to build my plan on them being gone sometime after pick 2 and before pick 23.

 

I guess the question would be if they are there at 2.11 (but I don't think that's likely).

I got P Manning at 3.05 in a 4pt/TD 12 teamer. In 6pt/TD leagues, they are gone for sure in the first 2 rounds.

Yes the number next to the pick (2.16) 32 is where they were picked.

I'm seeing this happen all over as well. I had a draft last week where the exact same thing happened, 6 qb's went very early in the first 2 rounds. I won't touch those picks. I walked away with Gore/Calvin Johnson/J.Charles/Brandon Marshal with my first four picks and was VERY psyched about it. I was drafting 9th and never dreamed Gore would fall there... but he did. I don't get the QB craze this year.

In my local draft, in a league that has 1 starting QB and mostly standard scoring (4pt/TD, 1/25yds), we had 7 QBs fly in the first 2 rounds. In this same league I grabbed Rivers at 4.01 (4th QB picked) last year. Not sure what's changed in peoples' minds. Ended up getting Ryan/Roethlisberger in the 7th and 9th rounds, which is good enough for me.

In my local Rodgers got nabbed at 1.04 and Brees at 1.05. Manning and Brady went in the mid-second round.
