MustOfBeenDrunk
I made this post because I thought it would give some others in the same format a little inside as to how much some players are going for. To tell the truth I also posted because I thought the bidding was out of line but then after it repeated it self in (2) more leagues I guess they aren't. So are there any players on the wire in your leagues that you would spend more than 50% of your yearly waiver dollars on ? Not asking you to name players if you are in leagues with others that share this board.
tazinib1
Blowing half your wad before week 1 starts is asinine IMO.
CrimsonGhost
Blowing half your wad before week 1 starts is asinine IMO. Agreed. Chances are there will be a much higher impact guy to emerge halfway into the season. And why would anyone ever draft Brohm or any Bills QB. Suckers! cre8tiff
Good God almighty. $187 for SHipley?!?!?! And since when was Mike Williams the second coming of Moss? Would be a good time to be in either of those leagues... you'll get good value down the line with those jokers out. MustOfBeenDrunk
Most of these teams are grabbing guys that they don't even plan on starting this year ! Shipley has already been put on the taxi squad ( so he is stuck there till next year. Williams in one league was also put on the taxi squad ( this league he can be added back to the roster if he doesn't sit for more than 2 weeks )

rattsass
That is a huge percentage of yearly $. But I'm nost sure that these home run swings are such a bad thing. People need to open thier minds to the possibility that Mike Williams is this year's "story." Maybe what I saw in preseason was an illusion, but what I think I saw was the second coming of Terrell Owens or Brnadon Marshall. If that guy shows up in the regular season he is a game-changer in fantasy leagues. I probably would have been outbid in those situations, depending on the status of my roster, but I absolutely see why they went for it. Agreed...., u can always diversify ur risk by lowly bidding on one week wonders who play second third fiddle all season long. How many waiver wire guys actually panned out big? I know if I thougt mike williams had a chance to really produce and i did not gun for him I would regret it all year. I would not think twice about guys I was out bid through the year. Maybe i tend to over swing but im more comfortable there. By the way im not in any league that bids in FA but that is looking to change. MikesVikes
Yesterday I was going to ask how Hartley is a free agent in your league. He answered that question during the game.
