Randall
Packers have agreed to terms with Charles Woodson on a two-year contract extension, tying him to Green Bay for five more years. Woodson, turning 34 in October, was in the fifth year of a seven-year, $52 million contract. The new deal makes him a Packer for life, essentially giving him $33 million over the next three years. Call it a reward for an outstanding season and a response to Darrelle Revis' big payday. While the Packers are one of the youngest teams in the league, they have a lot of money tied up in older players such as Woodson, Donald Driver, Chad Clifton, Mark Tauscher, and Ryan Pickett. Sep. 9 - 1:00 pm et Great move for a great player and a great person. Comforting to know that he'll man one of the CB positions for another few years and then move back to safety in the twilight. Another great Ted Thompson signing. I remember the outcry that he wasted money on him. I do think that Woody and Pickett will play out there contracts. I doubt Driver will make it, but I think Clifton and Tauscher will be gone in 2011/
