Steven Jackson, possible knee injury

"At his Monday press conference, coach Steve Spagnuolo said "Jackson's right knee was a little bit inflamed," following Sunday's season-opener, the St. Louis Globe-Democrat reports.

Spagnuolo went on to note that "they took an MRI" on Jackson's knee, adding "he'll be day-to-day. I think he's all right." In the past, Jackson has gone on to play despite being limited in practice during the week, so it may not be until Friday that we get a true read on where he stands. For now, we'll stick with his coach's assessment that this is a day-to-day issue, rather than a week-to-week deal."

Think he will play against the Raiders this week?

He'll be there. This team needs to win a couple games for its own mental state and for that of the rookie QB. The Raiders provide one of the few chances on the schedule for them to get a win, and without Jackson they have no shot. None. As long as he is not in danger of further injury, he'll tough it out and be there. He has turned into a real gamer.
