MTSuper7
I know Sanchez looked terrible last week, but that was a tough matchup... I'm just wondering if anyone here thinks Holmes is going to emerge into at least a viable WR3 or something upon his return. Did Holmes appear to have much rapport with Sanchez in practice or the preseason? Does he step right into being the #1 option in the passing game (whatever passing game there is)? Is he a guy worth sitting on or trading on name value to someone weak at WR?
Bronco Billy
I've actually got Holmes rostered in two dynasty leagues and kept him active in the hopes of getting some second half WR depth. I figured he was going to be at least as productive as any of the WW WRs that would be available then. Now I don't know so much. Sanchez looked awful, and this was a big game against a good team who made a decided effort to shut down hte run and force Sanchez to win the game. Sanchez didn't remotely respond to the challenge and looked like a deer in the headlights. One game isn't everything, but I'm concerned that we are looking at the onset of a sophomore slump here, which would make all Jets offensive players worth little for FF purposes. Grimm74
Holmes became a WR1 last year with an elite QB who have a very productive year. Most other years he was a WR2/3 with the same elite QB. Now he moves on to a supposedly run first team with a young who IMHO is not very good QB. So my thought is he will not produce much of anything at all. The Jets had what 70 TOTAL passing yards in week one. For a WR I am not very happy about just 70 yards for one player. MTSuper7
Bum Sanchez or Holmes?
Skippy
Holmes has the talent, there is no doubt. My question is if Sanchez has it. I don't know what to expect but I also hung on to him and am hoping there will be some long ball chemistry. I'm not going to hold my breath though.
