JUMbotron
http://www.thehuddle.com/nfl/player/9295/ Honestly, I wonder what really happened in that pre-season game.... I wonder if the MCL or PCL was sprained pretty good, one of those 3-4 week deals.... Either way I bet Wells might go at Atlanta. Starting him in fantasy would be very risky of course. JUMbotron
Kent Somers says: http://twitter.com/kentsomers Beanie Wells limited again in practice. He will be listed as questionable. My guess is Cardinals rest him 1 more week. about 6 hours ago via Twitter for BlackBerry®
v0dka
With the Cardinals set to fly out to Atlanta soon, RB Beanie Wells will end up as a game-day decision again this week. He had some swelling on his knee after Thursday, coach Ken Whisenhunt said, and that left him fairly limited Friday. But the Cards will work him out Sunday and see where he is. “He really wants to play,” Whisenhunt said, although I would think the Cards would want to be careful with him. The Fieldturf in the Georgia Dome does make a difference in the decision as well. It does seem to affect the players. “Yeah it does, I think, at least that’s the feedback I get from the players, whether it is real or imagined,” Whisenhunt said. “But you stand on it and you do feel it.” http://blog.azcardinals.com/2010/09/17/bea...e-day-decision/ Yeah, unfortunately, things aren't looking too good for Beanie this weekend. Seahawks21
At least Wisenhunt said he wanted to play.
piratesownninjas
I think they're just making sure he's 100% when he comes back. As an owner of both he and Hightower, I'd rather see Wells sit this one out and be ready to go week three. Although if he's active, he's starting for me. JUMbotron
Someone asks Darren Urban his gut feeling on Beanie, he answers near bottom with "The gut doesn’t feel all that good." http://blog.azcardinals.com/2010/09/17/bea...e-day-decision/
loaf
regardless of if/how much Beanie Baby plays, I'm staying away from that backfield this week. After what I saw with Hightower/LaRod, I'll take my chances with Ahmad Bradshaw

After what I saw with Hightower/LaRod, I'll take my chances with Ahmad Bradshaw Hightower was putting up a good week (nearly 100 total yards and a TD), before he fumbled away additional carries. if Beanie is out he could still make a decent play this week. I realize it's a big "if", but if Hightower could get is fumble problems under control, he could be a pretty big factor in PPR leagues with or without a healthy Wells. I'm really beginning to think that Hightower is the guy to own in the Arizona backfield and could be an absolute stud if Wells wasn't around. It's early in the season and we don't know what's up with Wells right now, but I'm with bushwacked on this one. loaf
NYG against the sieve like run D of the Colts. Arian Foster anyone? I like the matchup better than ARI vs ATL.

I read someone smart who was reminding people that the Falcons did a pretty good job on Mendenhall last week until overtime.
NYCDOG
This. I read someone smart who was reminding people that the Falcons did a pretty good job on Mendenhall last week until overtime. I think the difference is that Hightower is a lot more involved in the passing game than Mendenhall and I think he will have more success than Mendenhall did (the last overtime rushing TD notwithstanding).
