Grits and Shins
All that talent with a total lack of discipline. This team can't play a solid 45 minutes of football let alone a solid 60 minutes. The decision making and play calling is totally suspect and there is a distinct lack of ability to make in game adjustments. I can't think of a single positive attribute of the Dallas coaching staff. tosberg34
Not sure why you need to know now. Can't you wait until tomorrow for more information? It's not like you're going to pick up a different coaching staff anyways. Besides, the Cowboys lost again, isn't it already evident they are bad? You sound like a whiner when you post questions like this. Enough, already.

Dude the coaching staff is fine. They can't hold the players water on the line and they can't stop balls from being tipped and picked. The Bears are a good football team. Why do you keep beating up the coaching staff. This team is moving the ball and playing good D for the most part. It is week TWO. The team will be fine. Get off the Coaching as they have done well all things considered. I have no problem with Wade and co. They will come together. Now if they don't then go ranting but give the team a chance to get going for cryin out loud. A lot of teams either go undefeated early in the season or get off to a slow start. By midseason we will see whos who. Look at Minn, their 0-2 also so what. Relax Grits. I don't know what you have against the Wade D and an Offense that is very good but not playing flawlessly yet. Give it some time man give it some time.

You and I must be watching different games 1) This team lacks discipline ... that is a direct result of soft coaching 2) This team lacks the ability to make in game adjustments ... that is insufficient coaching 3) The play calling, both offensively and defensively are very suspect ... players aren't calling the plays 4) This team can't finish ... ever So which one of those three statements do you believe isn't true
ffjunkey
Turnovers and mistakes cost the Cowboys this game. Two of those INTs were flukey plays. The missed field goal was killer. Roy was having a good game until that bad fumble. Not sure why coaching should take the blame for this.
tosberg34
I think the only coaching staff worse than the Cowboys would be the Vikings.

Granted the interceptions were on tipped balls ... but the team continues to make crucial mistakes week in and week out ... those mistakes are a lack of discipline and directly attributed to soft coaching. The kicker is another problem entirely and I put that squarely on the shoulders of the GM. JJ doesn't want to pay for a kicker and the kicking game has suffered over the last several years because of it.

Delicious_bass
I think the only coaching staff worse than the Cowboys would be the Vikings. And you might be right. They had about 9-10 days to prepare for the home opener against a middle-of-the-pack team playing on the road for the second week in a row. Yet they could only muster one offensive TD and allowed Miami to run effectively and win the game. Inexcuseable to have such a poor effort and performance at home and now they are looking up (from two games down) to both GB and CHI

wolfer
Prime and Irvin are ripping them apart on NFLN right now. They want to see 1 RB take the reigns and more run-pass balanced attack. Clearly they don't have Romo and Austin in fantasy.

I have less issue with how they use the RBs and more with the play selection and lack of discipline. To quote a local radio/media personality ... this team is gutless. To quote a local radio/media personality ... this team is gutless. and there you have it. They just arent tough. There was a brief period of rumblings where Ray Lewis was being talked about to possibly come aboard. That is the kind of "on the field" persona and leader this team lacks. Someone that will punch you in the mouth if you dont carry your weight. Romo is talented but he doesnt put the fear into his players that Aikman did when he ran the show. On D we got Brooking that does that awfully embarrasing pregame nonsense . Dallas plays about half of a game every week. They also play for 75% of their drives. They march down the field and unravel and settle for missed FG's or punting . On D they suck ass on 3rd down. Gutless describes them great. Grits and Shins
A reporter asked JJ this question after the game "Is this team over-hyped or under coached". JJ responded yes.

Cowboyz1
You guys just crack me up. It's week 2 into the season and my fellow boys fans are jumping off buildings. I am about as homer as they come and I don't see a problem yet. That's right, I think this team is good enough to overcome a bad start. We will see but if they lay and egg in Houston then I will begin to worry. If they play really well and still lose I will feel ok. If they win everythings gravy. Relax fellas, let the team and coaches find their way this year. If not then bash the hell out of them.

Relax fellas, let the team and coaches find their way this year. If not then bash the hell out of them. We are just seeing the same old retread Cowboys for what they are. I still root and support but I hate Wade as a HC. I like his defensive mind. Just hate him as a HC and until we get a disciplinarian we will just be a team that shows flashes of brilliance once in a while and goes on hot streaks but the true underbelly shows its colors when the chips are down. In general they are awful on 3rd down. The one you refer to above is the 59 yard bomb to Knox when we could have put our foot on theri necks a little. I like your optimism but if Dallas has any success this year it will be in spite of this coaching staff Edited September 20, 2010 by whomper
