tallguylehigh
I was thinking about this the other day- has any fantasy football format tried to have a "coach" position? While it may seem silly I think there are some key metrics that coaches could be measured against, things like: + Challenge success % + 4th down conversion % + Penalties + Overall win/loss Any thoughts on this? With the fantasy football owner being more GM than coach, a fantasy coach position could be an interesting touch.
Grits and Shins
I won't add ANY scoring that is not supported by the league software that we use ... I suspect those all of those aren't supported by your traditional software packages
slambo
MFL software has a "coaching" position. Not sure what scoring categories there are but the position is there in the setup.

MFL supports FF points only for wins/losses/ties at the "coach" position as far as I know.
The Holy Roller
I'm in two leagues that use coaches. They don't add much to the scoring but they sure piss you off when their teams lose and cost you points. We've had them for about ten years and cannot get enough owners to vote them out of the scoring. On the other hand owning the coach of Indy, GB, NO, and a few others is pure gold. Dcat
RTSports allows a headcoach position. I play in one league at RT. Commish has the stats set at 2 pts for a win and -1 pt for a loss. Silly, but adds a little to the fun. Have no idea if you can add other stat categories, but I doubt it, particularly for ridiculous things like challenges. If you are going to start a HC position each week, there should be a stat for how many times the coach's face is shown on TV. Or for the most ridiculous coaches facial expressions. I think Gruden would have won each and every week. Edited September 20, 2010 by Dcat
