I bought into the potential of BJax lighting up the Bills this week. I observed Best's less than 2 YPC average. I feared the Philly D. I benched Jahvid in 1 of 2 leagues. Everybody say it together: "We will not bench Jahvid Best again. He earned stud status today. And you never sit your studs." Ok, back to your regularly scheduled programming. P.S. There is still a part of me that thinks he is a deal now at high value. Look at this schedule: at Minny at GB Rams at Giants Skins Jets at Bills at Boys Pats Bears Pack at Bucs at Phins Vikings That is a CRAZY tough schedule. Other than the Rams, Bills, and Bucs that is nuts. And the Bills and Bucs are away games. Just something to think about if your own Best like me. Thoughts? Avernus Posted September 20, 2010 Share Posted September 20, 2010 I am up by 15 against the Best owner who benched him in favor of Addai and Foster...Best got 81 pts for him today...on the bench he obviously has Addai right now and I have Bradshaw who is looking like he's going to break one out soon if they can stay on offense long enough to get him the touches.... it's getting close as Addai has 14 while Bradshaw has 3...there's a 5pt bonus when/if Addai gets to 100.. it's coming down to the wire while he has this monster performance null and void....fantasy football is amazing.. Avernus Posted September 20, 2010 Share Posted September 20, 2010 PS - If I had Jahvid Best, I would try to move him now with how popular his performance was against a D that ran the Packers run game into the ground a bit the past week in key situations... and Best just cut them up... but I've always kept in check his injury history and he's been tagged as this high risk/high reward player as long as he remains healthy enough to run...but his injury history leads me to believe this run will be a short one... I should win this one easily, I think). I am playing Gore tonight and played Brandon Jackson yesterday. I benched Best and J. Harrison (and dropped Tomlinson, cause this league has a 4 RB roster limit). I'm not overly concerned for a couple reasons (i) he just carved up a (purportedly) great defense, (ii) I expect a ton of his production to come in the passing game and (iii) I'm not sure that all of those "great Ds" are going to get up to shut down the Detroit Lions - it's quite possible they get taken lightly on more than a few occasions and surprise some folks.
