wolfer
Sweet. Reported on NFLN but I do not see it elsewhere. I wonder if Kolb had a setback with his concussion? An Andy Reid change of heart does not seem likely. Edited September 21, 2010 by wolfer

drewjh
The Alert I recieved from ESPN stated, "Eagles coach Andy Reid named Michael Vick as team's starting QB". To me, the wording sounds like he named him the starter from here on out, but it could just be how it was worded.

Wolverines Fan
Welcome to the waiver wire, Mr Kolb. Nice knowin' ya! Two wasted middle round picks in two leagues for me. I was able to get Vick off waivers in one league but got outbid for him in the other. Edited September 21, 2010 by Wolverines Fan

wolfer
http://www.thehuddle.com/nfl/player/5448/ "for the rest of season" (?) That would be iincredible news given Reid's stance yesterday. As a Kolb owner I spent 22% of my WW on Vick to hedge and I imagine several people are anticipating a big payoff, especially that guy Rattaree blogged about this morning in the WCOFF. Time will tell. Company of Heroes
Ugh, traded away Hightower/LEvans for SMoss/Kolb. Thought I got a steal, now it's basically just Hightower for SMoss. Meh.
Coach1310
sucks to be the guy who drafted Kolb, chose a different players as my #1 WW pickup last week and be 0-2!!

The Wolf
ESPN.com reporting it is permanent. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5601286 Wonder if Eagles ownership / management got involved given the risk and financial investment that made in Vick. BearBroncos
This looks pretty definitive if you ask me! Reid switches gears, picks Vick over Kolb as Eagles' QB
Azazello1313
wow, didn't see that coming. well, gotta give reid credit for recognizing a mistake quickly, I guess. seems kind of unfair to kolb, but honestly I think vick probably DOES give them a better chance to win each week. BearBroncos
Oh, and I just completed a trade that included giving Kolb (I kept Vick) for Hassleback in a mutliple player deal.
montster
i traded away brady in my dynasty league because he was a free agent after this season and i didn't think i could afford to keep him. plus, i had kolb on my taxi squad, and, man, did he look good those two games he filled in for mcnabb last year. now i am left with david garrard. i've made a huge mistake. Pope Flick
I'll question the wisdom: Vick walks at the end of the year, the money's sunk into Kolb and if he's not ready now what good will making him 2nd string until next year do? Pope Flick
if philly wins, reid gets to stick around? And then what, gets fired next year when Kolb isn't ready 2 years after McNabb leaves?
CaP'N GRuNGe
I'll question the wisdom: Vick walks at the end of the year, the money's sunk into Kolb and if he's not ready now what good will making him 2nd string until next year do? Or the Eagles give starter money to Vick and Reid sends Kolb to Minnesota next year to replace Favre and run the same offense.
