whomper
No disrespect to the Texans fans. They have a great young team. This thread isnt a pound your chest homer thread at all. I just know the trends with the Cowboys. This is the type of game that they win. This is when they streak some wins together during the "flashes of brilliance" that this team and organization shows once in a while. I feel it in my bones. Avernus
last week at home against a Bears team sporting a new offense and average D, I would say was the perfect opportunity for this "brilliance" and I "knew" this well enough to make a wager on the game....and then Dallas baffles me again in week 2.... Â week 3 on the road against the Texans - Who knows? But this game will reveal if this is really the Cowboys team we expect to see this year...If they bounce back, then they will do as you said but if they lose then wheels might start popping off... BearBroncos
Huge rivalry game for both teams. Dallas on the bust train while Houston is on the Champ train. I think the mystique of the SB being played in Dallas and JJ wanting his team to be the first to house a SB and play in it has caused its own problems in themselves. Â I just don't see it. There is nothing that says they can stop Schuab. Granted, if you have Schuab or Romo, great game to start both because this will be a shootout. CowboysDiehard
Meh. I expect them to move the ball between the 20's then bog down, pressure the QB early then let up, and then shoot themselves in the foot with a key penalty and turnover or two in the second half. If they can overcome those things, then yeah, why not? Â ...oh yeah...left out a shanked FG attempt... Bronco Billy
What is it with Cowboy fans in that they simply refuse to accept that their team isn't very good.? Â HOU is a much better team right now than DAL, and Kubiak will coach circles around whomever is in charge as the game progresses for DAL. Add that HOU is playing at home and I think we're looking at a pretty convincing HOU victory. Two teams headed in opposite directions here. BearBroncos
With Ware going up a rookie at LT, it could be a long day for Schaub and Foster. Â Difference being is Houston has emmense talent so they can afford to drop the FB or a blocking TE constantly to support the LT. I don't think the rookie will have to much to worry about. Â Long as in spending a lot of time on the field racking up yards at will? Cutler tore apart the DAL D in DAL. What do you think Schaub is going to do at home against that same D? Double Agent
I just don't see Dallas being able to keep up with Houston. If Dallas wins...I'm thinking this will be a high scoring fantasy wonderland. Â Which means it will probably be 10-7.
BearBroncos
I suspect there will be two games this week that will have a combined score of 70+ points. This will be one of them and the second should be fairly easy!

Valhalla
Houston is last in the NFL against the pass. I don't think Dallas will have ANY problem moving the ball against them (and vice versa with Houston). I think it will boil down to defensive stops. Â I bet Dez Bryant picks this week to break out... Cowboyz1
Whomp, I am with you. I was going to start the same thread. I agree totally in that there is no chest thumping here just a gut feeling. If you look at both games against Wash and Chi the Cowboys could have won both going away. I watched both games twice and this is what i saw. Â In Washington, we moved the ball at will and for the most part stopped the Washington O. If not for a hand full of plays they beat Washington by 10. I know they are mistake prone and I get that. But even in Chicago, if a handful of freaky plays and Buehler make one of his field goals we win. Â Before you all go jumping down my post saying IF IF IF, I know that already. IF is always IF. But I will give you three reasons Dallas will fix the problems and win in Houston. Â 1. They will play good Defense. They will play straight up 3-4 and let Ware and Spencer do their thing without all the exotic blitzes which will limit the mistakes they make in coverage. Â 2. They will run the football up the gut with Barber and screen to Felix. Â 3. Romo is averaging 300 yards a game and his only picks have been on tip balls. The ball has been high for two straight games now and he brings the ball down for the recievers in this one which will one allow for more catchable ball and no turnovers. Romo will pass for 300+ and 2 TD's. Â The Cowboys are fine, they just need to work out some kinks and play a complete game. Â This is where they rip off about 4 or 5 straight wins to tease us into thinking they are the powerhouse we hoped they would be. Say what you want about Wade and staff but this team will play good football in Houston. Houston is a very good football team and I am in no way saying they are not, I am just saying this Cowboys team is going to put it all together this week and the talent will shine through. LT is going to haunt the Texans in this one. Desperation is highly motivating. This 0-2 start may be just what the doc ordered to get this team to clean up it's play. Who knows but the Cowboys are gonna come to play Sunday, if I know my team like I think I do.
