Dallas will beat the Texans this week

No disrespect to the Texans fans. They have a great young team. This thread isnt a pound your chest homer thread at all. I just know the trends with the Cowboys. This is the type of game that they win. This is when they streak some wins together during the "flashes of brilliance" that this team and organization shows once in a while. I feel it in my bones. Boys by 11

Dallas is 0-2, Houston is 2-0, the game is @ HOU and the Texans are favored. Logically speaking the Texans look like a sure thing...don't they?

I'm with you on this one Whomp; if I was still a betting man I'd probably go with the Cowboys too. I wouldn't bet the family farm on it but this would be my call.

With Ware going up a rookie at LT, it could be a long day for Schaub and Foster.

I know it is a rook at LT but fwiw Schaub for his career (prior to this year) is only sacked 1.01 times/game...that is less than Peyton (1.12), Brees (1.30) & Brady (1.68) all who are some of the toughest QBs to sack....Schaub was the lowest of the 22 QBs I looked at (Peyton, Brees, Brady, Schaub, McNabb, Romo, Eli, Hass, Roth, Garrard, Rivers, Rodgers, Orton, Flacco, Cutler, Favre, Young, Vick, Cassell, Delhomme, Palmer & Campbell)

Yeah, that overly aggressive cowboy front seven looked like they were going to take Jay Cutler's head off in the first part of the game last Sunday. That is, until Martz mixed in some quick slants and dump-offs and seam tosses to the TE. Schaub and the Texan offense will shred the Girls if they try that noise.

I like what whomper's doing, though. It's the power of positive thinking. Think all you want, cowboy fans. The proof will be in the pudding.

Whomp, I am with you. I was going to start the same thread. I agree totally in that there is no chest thumping here just a gut feeling. If you look at both games against Wash and Chi the Cowboys could have won both going away. I watched both games twice and this is what i saw.

In Washington, we moved the ball at will and for the most part stopped the Washington O. If not for a hand full of plays they beat Washington by 10. I know they are mistake prone and I get that. But even in Chicago, if a handful of freaky plays and Buehler make one of his field goals we win.

Before you all go jumping down my post saying IF IF IF, I know that already. IF is always IF. But I will give you three reasons Dallas will fix the problems and win in Houston.

1. They will play good Defense. They will play straight up 3-4 and let Ware and Spencer do their thing without all the exotic blitzes which will limit the mistakes they make in coverage.

2. They will run the football up the gut with Barber and screen to Felix.

3. Romo is averaging 300 yards a game and his only picks have been on tip balls. The ball has been high for two straight games now and he brings the ball down for the recievers in this one which will one allow for more catchable ball and no turnovers. Romo will pass for 300+ and 2 TD's.

The Cowboys are fine, they just need to work out some kinks and play a complete game.

This is where they rip off about 4 or 5 straight wins to tease us into thinking they are the powerhouse we hoped they would be. Say what you want about Wade and staff but this team will play good football in Houston. Houston is a very good football team and I am in no way saying they are not, I am just saying this Cowboys team is going to put it all together this week and the talent will shine through. LT is going to haunt the Texans in this one. Desperation is highly motivating. This 0-2 start may be just what the doc ordered to get this team to clean up it's play. Who knows but the Cowboys are gonna come to play Sunday, if I know my team like I think I do.

Cowboys 31 Texans 23

I don't get it, I thought Wade was a good coach

Rumors popping up in Dallas today that the Pillsbury doughboy will be gone by Monday. Some guy on some sports blogging site says it's so, who knows, but where theres smoke there is usually a Cowboy coach fixing to get canned.

Every time a coach is on the hot seat, Cowher's name is thrown into the discussion. IMO he's not ready to come back and is at least another year out before he considers it. Secondly, no way in hell that he works for JJ, he's not that kind of coach.

My guess is Garrett (god help us) is interm until next year, and if Dallas suddenly rises from the dead, he gets the job, if not, the search begins. I don't see JJ disrupting the team that much in the middle of the season. That is a sure fire path to failure.

Not going to happen. No matter how bad this season is ole Wade will coach til the end of the season.

Texans 37, Dallas 27 in a FG fest. I think both teams move the ball but bog down in the zone.

Reliant is deafening! It will be hard on the Boyz, especially since the coaching staff has enough trouble coming up with a cohesive team plan.

First post here, been trolling the boards for a couple of years now though. Just wanted to point out to you guys relying on Texans players to guide you to fantasy victory this weekend, the Texans backup LT is not a rookie.

He has been with the team since 07, knows the system, and backs up both tackle spots. IMO he has looked pretty good in preseasons as well as the limited action. DWare is gonna get his either way but I just wanted to point out that Rashad Butler is not a rook.
