devildog0311
I know it's not the greatest of situations, but is he worth stashing away? Never saw him play, but I recall there was a big buzz about him last year.
MrTed46
I am thinking of dropping my handcuff to Gore (Dixon) and take a 1 week flier on this kid. I hear he is going to get his shot at it this weekend because Harrison might not suit up due to an injury or being in the dog house (Mangini). Any time a player has a shot, I always take a flier. Am I confident he will be effective, especially against the Ravens Defense? No. But I think he is worth rostering for a week or two especially if you have the room. Having said that, I can guarantee Gore getting hurt and me losing Dixon.
Company of Heroes
I'm tempering my expectations. Next games, in order, include: @BAL CIN ATL @PIT @NO BYE NE NYJ While a couple of those teams can be run on, all are above average teams. I don't see a lot of success and red zone looks in the CLE backfield.
Balzac
Recall that he was pretty highly touted last year before getting hurt - this may be the last time you can get him for nothing (if he gets appreciable carries this weekend, he'll be at the top of waiver lists next week), so I'd grab him if you have the roster spot. He's not going to be a worldbreaker but he could have value as a flex or bye week filler.
theeohiostate
Picked him up in 4 leagues early this week. I don't see Harrison keeping this job and Hillis, while productive is not an every down back. Davis was a hot name going into 2009 and it appears he's fully healthy now and ready to contribute. I wouldn't understand it if the staff didn't see what he could bring to the offense. I don't expect much production, but in leagues with larger rosters, he's worth a wait-and-see. I don't see a lot of success and red zone looks in the CLE backfield. Someone has to run and any RB getting 15+ touches is worth a roster spot IMO. Harrison is in Manginis doghouse and it's VERY hard to get out of that dog house. Mangini doesn't care about past performances, his MAIN concern is fumbles. If you touch the ball 15+ times and do not fumble, he will continue feeding you. He is the worst coach, but if you understand how he thinks, Davis could be a nice pickup. The CLE O-line isn't horrible either. As long as you aren't expecting RB1,2 numbers you can't be vastly dissapointed.
rattsass
I think we might be looking for something that just isn't there. Hillis will get a couple of punch-ins, but the way this team is floundering it is looking pretty damn ugly. Until Mangini gets the axe, this is probably a situation best left alone. At this point I am having to restrain myself from dropping Harrison across the board. But I think that will be the end of my involvement with the Browns. I hesisate to drop Harrison haowever, because Holmgren might realize the fulitlity after a few more losses and send Mangini packing. At that point you never know, but for now, I would look at the numerous possible emerging possibilites elsewhere. I see no hope here. My M.O. is to look for players (RB & WRs) to pickup that have a chance to exceed expectation due to favorable matchups. Then use these good performances to package a couple of these type players to get a higher quality player. Agree Davis could be a possible spot starter in a few weeks, but the upside is lower than I usually like to go for in waiver adds.
theeohiostate
Rotoworld Browns coach Eric Mangini indicated that Jerome Harrison (thigh) won't practice on Friday.Mangini expected Harrison to practice each day this week, but Harrison's thigh remains tight. While Mangini refuses to rule him out for Sunday's game, it sounds like Harrison could be dealing with a quad injury. Expect James Davis to see an increased role as Peyton Hillis' committee partner in a tough matchup at Baltimore.

Harrison must have done something to piss off the entire organization. He's been there for years under different management and he's still in the same old spot every year. I am with you with the whole CLE RB situation though, I am dropping Harrison for Davis in a league and if Davis fails let them both be someone else problem. CowboysDiehard
Interesting stuff, he's a mandatory keeper on one of my rosters for this year and next. I wouldn't mind seeing him get some carries, but I'm not as optimistic as some of you guys. I guess time will tell on this one, but I woudn't go out of my way to pick him up at this point. Hope he proves me wrong, though.

Big John
Maybe I missed something or I had a time worp, but did the Browns win the Super Bowl last year? That's like a division title schedule. All AFC north teams play once against each team in the AFC East and NFC South this year as it is those divisions in this year's rotation. Plus the other 3 games are within the division.

Plus the other 3 games are within the division. And that really sucks for teams like Cleveland that are in redevelopment. At least it provides an excuse of losing and getting a high draft pick.
