damnit

It's true, via cbs sports rapid reports:

RB Knowshon Moreno will not play Sunday because of an undisclosed injury. Correll Buckhalter, Laurence Maroney and Andre Brown should be active, with Buckhalter getting the start. Broncos RapidReports

That's all I need - was really counting on him having a big game this week. Not sure I trust Buckhalter enough to start him (b/c not sure what the touch split will be) and I don't even have Maroney.

Holy Crap!...first Ryan Grant, now Knowshon...how you say...I'm screwed...as the Old School Brother would say "that's the way it go"

Yeah, I made a trade for Moreno when Grant went down, now a may have to try to make another trade to replace Moreno.

Haven't seen it yet in the news anywhere online, but was alerted to it from my sportsbetting software... something w/ his leg possibly.

Apparently it's his other hamstring this time...

Moreno pulls hammy in practice, out Week 3 - Rotoworld

FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reports that Knowshon Moreno pulled his hamstring in Friday's practice.

Moreno, who's been ruled out for Week 3, reportedly did not pull the same hamstring that he partially tore in training camp. There's no way to tell know long he'll be out, but Laurence Maroney might be the favorite for carries in Denver's backfield going forward. Correll Buckhalter is the veteran of the group, but is playing poorly. Andre Brown doesn't figure to be a big factor.

I actually think Maroney could have a solid game, particularly catching balls out of the backfield. That was always the best part of his game in NE (though he really never got enough chances to do this). McHoodie actually knows this and loves throwing to his backs (Moreno caught 4 or 5 balls last week).

Buckhalter, Maroney, Brown. It's a dice roll imo, but worth a shot for many of you. If I had to choose I'd go with Buckhalter but that's just me. It's impossible to truly know what McDaniels will decide in the Sat. walkthrough when he scripts everything.

Everything i see points to Buckhalter but who is actually the better back here? Maroney was heating up towards the end of last year but hasnt been used much this year. I dont know much about the line or the RB's in question. Who would you guys guess is the better pickup? They are both available in my league under FA

I personally think Buck will be the better play because Den will have to throw a lot and he is a proven blocker and pass catcher out of the backfield. In ppr leagues, I think he's a solid flex play. Not sure they're going to want to trust Maroney as a blocker like that.

better back is definitely Maroney but (i) we don't know how healthy he is and (ii) we don't know what degree of faith DEN has in his knowledge of the playbook and protection schemes at this point. Buckhalter has been in this system since day 1.
