dino88
Don't know why I thought of this but I did, so anwer it. Would you feel bad dropping a player for his backup right after you heard about his death.
The 13ers
Nope. it's just a game.
ParLawGod
I would feel terrible for the player/family/friends/teammates/etc. but would not feel bad about dropping him for his backup (same reason as stated above).

SheikYerbuti
In April of 2009, Nick Adenhart was the hot pickup in fantasy baseball leagues, the day he passed away. It was eerie.
whomper
No becasue he would still perform better than half of my players in AOTAOP
CowboysDiehard
Hell, I cut them when they break a leg. They're no good to me dead.
STL Fan
The alternative is keeping him on your roster out of respect? Unless the dead player has a family member that plays in your league, no one who is close to the player will ever know about it. Drop him. Â If you feel feel terrible, drop him and make a donation to his local charity. Most players have some foundation or something they're involved in. If they don't, then screw him, you should really not feel bad about dropping him.
Bronco Billy
Â I don't think you'll hurt his family's feelings, and I'm almost completely certain you won't hurt his feelings...
moopyjiggles
hahaha of course not. I'd try to trade him first tho to see if someone had not heard about his demise.

cre8tiff
Harder question is what to do if someone in your league died. Â We all shepherded a fellow's team through that had died. Â He didn't win the league, but we told his wife he did and gave her the money and the plaque.

STL Fan
I'm reminded of the quote from Mr Burns on the Simpsons when he witnesses one of his employees die. "Send the widow a ham."
