rajncajn
I think it was the wrong call as well. 1st & goal, just run it a couple of times & try the kick on 3rd down.

Wolverines Fan
Per Profootballtalk.com. Saints will bring in kickers Posted by Michael David Smith on September 26, 2010 7:39 PM ET Saints kicker Garrett Hartley missed a 29-yard field goal in overtime today, setting up the Falcons on their game-winning drive. It could have been his last kick as a Saint. Peter King of NBC's Football Night in America reports that the Saints will bring in kickers for tryouts this week. That doesn't necessarily mean Hartley is gone, but it certainly means Hartley is on the hot seat. Within a week of being named NFC special teams player of the week for his performance on Monday night against the 49ers, Hartley could be out of work. ts
KFFL has specifically mentioned ... wait for it ... John Carney: The New Orleans Saints will work out free-agent PK John Carney (Saints) at some point this week, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter. http://www.kffl.com/hotw/nfl#ixzz10gZvyuHC' rel="external nofollow">

HowboutthemCowboys
I think Brees should give him his rah-rah fire em up speech before every kick

whomper
That is just a crappy way to lose. 29 yards should be a gimme for a pro kicker but that is why they play the games. Tough break
buddahj
If he doesn't make that kick in the playoffs last year, I'm pretty sure he's not on the team this year.

Bronco Billy
can you do better? I'm fairly ceratin no one is paying him $1M+ to kick a ball through the uprights...
myhousekey
Saints signed Carney. ETA: Looks like they cut WR Adrian Arrington to make a roster spot. Edited September 29, 2010 by myhousekey
BirdmanJones
Sign Carney + keep Hartley = have to blow a ww pick to fix a F#&%^N KICKER spot???
whomper
Kudos to the Saints. Its all about accountability boys. Hartley choked a few times this year and the Saints took action. It looks like Beuhler would have to bang JJ's wife to get cut.
