Monday Night IDP matchup

I'm down 15 headed into MNF. I have Zach Bowman, Clay Matthews and Mason Crosby to go and the other guy only has Lance Briggs left.

2 Points per Solo

4 per Sack/ INT

2 per Forced Fumble

6 per TD

What are my chances of making up the deficit?

Well Bowman will be covering Jennings I would guess most of the night and Jennings hasn't been getting a lot of looks, With the 4 pts for sacks - if Clay continues on his tear that will be good and I would expect Crosby to get about 6 pts or more. If the Packers pass more than run that will keep Briggs bottled up point wise. I would give it a 75% chance of pulling it off. Just my 2 cents.

why do you guess that?

I think it's pretty close...can't wait for the matchup. Just another reason IDP is the best. If I pull off the win tonight, I will complete a comeback against Peyton Manning, AP, McFadden, and Mendenhall (who all had awesome games) all thanks to Trent Cole and my awesome defense  IDP is the best hands down.

With what I have heard that want Zach Bowman covering the top recievers of the teams they play and our number one wideout (I am a a packer backer) is Greg Jennings - he is the one that stretchs the field and I think Bowman would be the guy that could run with him.

i would love to see a link to that...the only thing that I have read this year is that Bowman (LCB) and Tillman (RCB) swapped sides...that is far from following X recvr around the field

I wish I had a link to it. I will look but it was something I read a few weeks back. By swapping sides they basically said that Bowman is the CB that will be lining up with the best receivers. If I find the link I will post it.

that in and of itself is much different than following around a teams best recvr...now if jennings stays on the offensive right side for each and every snap like marvin harrison basically did then you can say what you did and get away with it but from what i can recall Jennings does get moved around quite a bit and if memory serves me correctly I think he lines up on the left side frequently (edit: actually jennings is listed as the left side WR on the packers depth chart).

I will have to watch closely tonight and see if Bowman is shadowing Jennings or not.

fwiw...on the Packers 1st offensive series Jennings lined up on the offensive left side for each play he was on the field and opposite him was Tillman (RCB)....Bowman (LCB) stayed on the side opposite the right side WR...with the exception of the Jennings TD (he lined up in the slot and it looked like Moore was on him .....II couldn't see where Bowman lined up but I think it was him that had the back coming out of the backfield on the side opposite that Jennings lined up.

Good eyes - I was having a hard time seeing who was on who - but Bowman ended up being benched anyway - so I guess he is a CB I wouldn't be looking to pick up.
