devildog0311
I haven't seen any of his games yet, but his stats don't look very impressive. Thought he would be the starter this year but looks as though LT beat him out. Does Shonn run through quick sand or what?
Dcat
read this thread LT/Shonn Greene my posts therein are on the money, except I underestimated who would be in for goal line carries. For now it is LT, which makes LT a more productive back. Great for Jets fans. Sucks for Greene owners.
bushwacked
I avoided him like the plague for his ADP.
Rovers
I was very, VERY surprised he wasn't a big part of the game plan tonight. Definitely time to re-evaluate. Tomlinson is #1, Greene #2.
Bronco Billy
Greene is a great buy low candidate from an owner who probably burned an upper draft pick on him and is looking for some help right now. The season is 3 weeks old, LT is still 31, and there's a long ways to go. Edited September 27, 2010 by Bronco Billy
moopyjiggles
Greene is useless. #4 rb at best now. Im going to waive him I think or try to deal him to the LT owner.
damageinc
LT is only 31 . Guys like Fred Taylor and Ricky Williams are playing at a high level at 33-34 ao no one should think 31 is old . LT is the man barring injury this year. He is a good Rb2. Green a bench hold incase of injury to LT in larger leagues and waiver wire fodder on small leagues if you need to pick up a player for another position. Avoided Green at all cost and watching him run I dont see him as much of a running bac(or a buy low-hes not worth a buy low status) k but hes young and hopefully he can learn from LT. BearBroncos
I truly don't understand the thinking here but Greene is still the man in NY. He is just going to have to wait a little longer. Greene can be gotten real cheap in most leagues and will have some real value in the latter part of the season. Remember, he is a rookie still in most cases. They are using LT as a mentor. THe team is young for a reason. They want value for many years and LT is part of that scheme.

BearBroncos
Are those cases the ones where 2nd year players are considered rookies? I mean rookie in that he just got the starting roll late in the season last year and is still learning. TJ was ahead of him and now LT. He hasn't been given the keys to the car yet. Just allowed to drive every now and then and he has allot to learn. They have no real reason to start him but me as a professional arm chair coach think that the Jets coaching staff is relying to much on LT and need to give Greene opportunity to grow. And sometimes that means failure. Look how much room for error they gave Shanchez? Greene is a power runner with an inate ability between the tackles. We've not seen it because he's not getting the opportunities to get comfortable in a game time situation. Granted, LT is, but he is also a seasoned professional. Greene will be there and he will shine, just later in the year I'm afraid.
WashingtonD
I think he'll get more love in the second half of the season, and I love him as a buy low candidate in dynasty type leagues, but for now in a re-draft I think you have to re-evaluate whether he needs to be on your team over other options. BeeR
LT is only 31 . Fred Taylor and Ricky Williams are playing at a high level no one should think 31 is old . For a RB, that's very old. I admit LT is doing better than I expected, but that aint sayin much and I wouldn't hold your breath on him holding up all year - and keep in mind he's still only getting about 10-12 carries. murp0837
I still think Green will be the RB1 by the end of the season. That may not help fantasy owners (depending on when the torch is passed), but LT2 has had some serious durability issues the past three years. Nothing would indicate to me that this trend would change. As a Green owner, I'll store him on by bench with the expectation that he'll be promoted sometime this season, or that he'll be a possible keeper in a my 16 team keeper league. The season is 3 weeks old, LT is still 31, and there's a long ways to go. LT will get at least half the carries and probably more. Look, I love Greene. I'm a Jets fan and want him to succeed, but for anyone who continues to spread the delusion that Greene will be the "primary" back (as aooposed to a pure RBBC platoon), you are just misleading yourself and others. Next year for Greene. this year he gets half the carries barring injury to LT. And that's opptomisitc. Couold be down around 40 - 45% of the carries. Stop being so hell bent that LT will get injured or wear down. Possible, but he sure looks damned good for now.

BearBroncos
LT gettin' the goal line carries. That's what is surprising to me. Me to in that I thought they wanted to stay in the power rush enviroment but LT has a the ability to get outside. He made a career of getting outside of the tackles at the goal line so it's not all to surprising.
