Lady.hawke
What do they have to do to get ranked? Apparently beating #7 Texas was not enough.
CaP'N GRuNGe
The NCAA disqualifies them because they're from LA and obviously can't come up with birth certificates for all their players.

GWPFFL BrianW
Might have something to do with their .500 record?
Lady.hawke
Really good get. Two things. UCLA deserves to be ranked; they get no respect, even as they won again today. Odd that I am an advocate for them, as they are not my life-long beloved team. (That team is doing very well.) As to the birth certificate comments. Obama does not have a legal document proving anything that anyone has seen. Period. If you have seen such a document, please post your evidence, I will eventually be proven right on this issue. When that happens, I will be amused by your responses. Edited October 3, 2010 by Lady.hawke

Although judging by your comment on the Obama subject, you'll probably want the proof sent to your mail box, or see a video of the birth itself. Odd that I am an advocate for them, as they are not my life-long beloved team. (That team is doing very well.) Using words like "deserves" and "respect" in conversations about college football programs is the same thing as calling someone a nazi. Once you go there, the argument is lost on me. That said, UCLA has two losses. How many teams have two losses in the top 25 right now? There's your answer to the "deserves" part. And "respect"? They got drilled by Kansas St. and shut out by Stanford to start the season. While the win over Houston was nice, and the win @ Texas unexpected, there's not really enough info to form an opinion about the relative goodness of the Bruins and the early season overranking of some of their opponents. For instance, this past weekend, they were 27 pt favorites at home against Washington St. and found themselves tied in the 4th quarter. I'm not really certain there's a lot out there that screams anything else but "middle of the road BCS conference team". This next weekend they travel to Berkeley, then two weeks after that, they go to Eugene. If they're going to get respect, they'll get it then. So in todays AP and Coaches poll, they havent beat a ranked team.
