not for nothing, but it would have taken you a quarter of the time to check their stats than it did you post a rant.

He shouldn't have to check any stats this is a paid service. I come to this site to check stats sometimes because I expect them to be correct. I am very loyal to thehuddle but this has been going on alot this year.

sure. but why post this on the message board? why not send an email to a mod or a contact from the main page? I expect accuracy, but what this cat is doing is essentially grabbing TimC's pitch fork and torch.

With Travis Henry & Torry Holt, I can see why you don't have a trophy.

Or is it an editing error?

On the other hand, I'm always one that stands up for the huddle, and also agree with DJ's post, but there have been way too many mistakes and glitches around here this year for a paid service. Just sayin'....

On the other other hand, when I see a mistake from the huddle, I usually just PM DMD and it gets resolved right away as opposed to coming here and starting a new thread b*tching about it.

Ya know, that is the first thing that I noticed. Obviously I meant to say "you" instead of 'ya" but it just didn't have the same effect here.

Here is the deal. Not even counting the preparation I have to do the previous week, it takes me between 20 and 30 hours to write the games up on Monday and Tuesday which comes after I've stayed up late on Sunday writing the Tunnel Vision. I am not complaining by any means, but just the reality is that writing maybe 25,000 words takes into the very late night on Tuesday.

I myself proof them since at 3 AM there is no one else to sit down and read all that. I also have a few readers kind enough to alert me if something got past me.

Now you know that I am obviously aware of who Shiancoe plays for since he was in the Vikings section and projected for the Vikings, etc.. It was a very simple error that made it past my proofing. I apologize for it I guess, but in writing that much, that quickly there is always the chance that some small completely inconsequential error is made.

I could appease those of you who cannot accept less than perfection from 25,000 words written in 30 hours over two days by not publishing it until Thursday after someone else had proofed it as well. But most people like to read it on Wednesday and see the updates, etc.

I would suggest you consider Wednesday morning before I get up as the "draft copy" and do not read it until Thursday when any errors will have been caught. I am not meaning to sound like an ass at all - there is no way I can get perfection from that much done that quickly but I would contend that I do an incredible job all things considered. This is why you do not see anything similar on the internet on a WED morning.

So sorry I guess, and please wait to read it because I have so many others who want to see it ASAP and are willing to overlook my getting one of 25,000 words wrong when we all know that it is a simple and inconsequential error. I am always available at dorey@thehuddle.com as well to further explain anything instead of just a public posting like this.

I also think you do an incredible job. Some sites don't get their info out on the advertised day. You guys never disappoint. The NFL season isn't officially here until the Wednesday projections are up at The Huddle for week one. That is how I approach it.

I completely sympathize with DMD as I too have a very large amount of technical writing to do for my job as a fisheries scientist. After 15 years in the business I still make many mistakes and have the luxury of having people review everything I write. I just can't imagine the amount DMD has to write in the wee hours of the night and to get it out quickly to the Huddlers to read. When I see a typo or the wrong name or team mentined in an article, I ALWAYS know to take it with a grain of salt as the guys at the Huddle are doing their best to get information out as quickly and as accurately as possible. Give the Huddle writers a break for gosh sakes!

I have been a huddler for a long time and I enjoy and utilize all the information this site provides. I commend you DMD for all your efforts, keep up the great work.

Knowing what it takes for me to get out my weekly IDP Game Breakdowns for FRIDAY, I can't help but shake my head when I think of what it must take for you to get the stuff out that you do, when you do.

fwiw, imo there is also nothing harder than proofing your own stuff...you just can't read it word for word since you know what it already says (or is supposed to say).

There will always be some errors/omissions and I am ok with that. This is fantasy football (after all) and not brain surgery. If something doesnt look correct to me, I can always check it out further. The Shiancoe thing was an obvious oversight and not a big deal in my view. In the past, if I've noticed an error/oversight, I have just sent a PM and it got fixed up quickly. Not a big deal. My $0.02...

This.

What happend to DMD's videos? lol! Seriously, I go to about every FF site on the web and this is the only one that matters. I will take the "rough draft" on Wednesday and read it word for word. I can usually figure out a typo all by myself. Now who do I start this week, they are all broken...
