jbran23
I had him this past week as a bye week filler. I looked like a genius after his 1 catch for 10 yards performance. That guy is a bum.

Seahawks21
He's been a flop for sure in Seattle but he did have his best stats as a Pat. Who knows, he might be a good pickup. Every year there are at least five rumors about Branch being traded, and every year one of the teams mentioned is the Pats. At this point, I won't believe that anybody actually wants Deion Branch until I see it happen. He adds NOTHING. He is tiny but can't run after the catch. He'll get you a handful of 7-yard catches, but that is about it.
Scorcher
He was hit or miss when he was a Patriot.
Bring Back Pat!!!
He's considered a flop with the Seahawks, but his numbers are damn near exact to what they were with the Pats With Patriots 02-05 53 games 213 catches 2744 yards 12.9 ypc 14 TDs With Seahawks 06-10 51 games 190 catches 2347 yards 12.4 ypc 15 TDs The big difference is no post season for Branch with the Hawks, where he shined as a Patriot. This deal won't happen unless Branch wants it to happen. The Patriots just traded Moss, who was had a salary number of 6.5 million, and a cap number of 9.7. Branch has a salary of 4.9 million and a salary number of 7.5 mill. If they weren't going to give Moss a long term contract for the number he wanted, they won't pay Branch what he's getting or give him a long term deal at 31. He left the first time over money, and nothing's changed in New England. Nothing to see here, unless Branch agrees to a pay cut. But why would he when he can stay in Seattle and make more?? Difference being that he was near 1k yards and 5td's in a single season with the pats. Something he's never been close to in Seattle in regards to yardage. Furd
Branch parlayed a decent year in 2005 - around 990 yards receiving/5 TDs and a Superbowl MVP into a big payday. That was his best year ever. With age and injuries, he's not going to put up even those numbers. Seattle blundered in a big way paying all that money to Branch. Somebody might trade a powdered doughnut to Seattle to obtain Branch, but there is no way that they are going to pay him more than a fraction of what he makes now. I say Branch wallows in mediocrity until he's done.

And if you read my statement, I said in regards to yardage! In a PPR, I'd rather have the yardage! then close on TD's
Patriots
Trading Moss is the patriots going a different way with their offense. They are going to more of a short yardage team now and if they need the big play down the field it will be to a TE. I don't see the pats going after Branch or Jackson. Pats will look to rebuild the defense in the draft. 2 picks in each of the first four rounds. Thats my opinion.

It's a valid opinion and the offense is a fairly young offense and short yardage would take some presure off of Brady, but, I think for this to be effective, you need a solid run game and I just don't think they have that yet. Teams will opt to man up on every play and zone blitz more regularly knowing that there will never be a deep threat. I can see Belichick doing this, personally.
