SatchDork
Sorry, I should have warned you all. I'm a Lions fan who picked up Clayton this week to use against them. Of course this injury was coming.

gowdemon
Per NBC Sports: " Mark Clayton confirmed Sunday that the right knee injury he suffered in the Rams' Week 5 loss to Detroit is season-ending. Brian Stull of 101 ESPN St. Louis reports that it may be a patellar tendon tear. If so, Clayton would likely require reconstructive knee surgery -- an operation that would threaten to sap his value on the 2011 free agent market after what was setting up as a breakout season. The injury may spur the Rams' interest in Vincent Jackson. Still not out of the NFC West race at 2-3, St. Louis needs to surround Sam Bradford with weapons to fulfill his potential." This really hurts my patchwork WR waiver wire corp. Back to square one.
delfamdelfam
WOW, I just traded LT for Clayton and Shonn Greene, now it's just a straight up trade. Now I have to f##ken play MSW at WR,

Doesn't kill me but I literally JUST picked him up for this game (zero points), dropping Brandon Jackson (7 pts) and Mike Thomas (6 pts). Now he is dead weight on my roster until after Week
STL Fan
AP - The St. Louis Rams today announced that they have signed Darrin McClendon to play WR for the club effective immediately. McClendon was formerly the UPS driver that delivers to Rams Park, but Spagnolo noted that "he looks kinda fast." Contract details were not announced. I wonder if anybody actually tried to research him . . .

SatchDork
I think the shine is coming off the Rams. Bradford has been impressive, but is still a rookie. An overachieving WR corps just lost its best component. You know Steven Jackson isn't playing 16 games. The defense is not as good as advertised. I'm not saying they are going 0-for the rest of the way (their schedule is pretty weak) or to start dropping guys, but if you're looking for the next supersleeper WR here. . .don't. Robinson is always hyped and never succeeds at doing anything but getting hurt. Gibson & Gilyard are both still young themselves. It would seem Amendola is the guy to have now (Bradford sure does zero in on one receiver), but he will now face any/all attention from the opposing secondary. If you are desperate for a one-week fill in, again, the Rams have a weak schedule, but I wouldn't count on any of them being the next Mark Clayton.
