M33ZY
Sad. Heard one of the commentators last night say it was his second game back after tearing his ACL in last year's championship game. Same knee?
Hugh 0ne
Sad. Heard one of the commentators last night say it was his second game back after tearing his ACL in last year's championship game. Same knee? No, left ACL last year, right ACL this year. Dumb f'ing luck.

Damn! I was afraid of that. He had a look on his face when he was being helped up like he knew... Just came back from rehabbing the other knee from the NFC Championship game, too

Cowboyz1
That really sucks, I wish they could find a way to prevent ACL tears but i know there's no way. Tough luck Vikings, I feel for ya. Lose a big time starter a week before a huge game.
Coach1310
big loss for the Vikes.... no griffin, Cook banged up, Sapp traded to the Dolphins.... our secondary success might lay in the lap of Lito Sheppard???? It will be a scary one on Sunday vs. the Boys for sure!
Hugh 0ne
And if Jared Allen doesn't find himself and get the Vikes pass rush back on track, it could be an even longer day for the Vikes secondary......
Ursa Majoris
And if Jared Allen doesn't find himself and get the Vikes pass rush back on track, it could be an even longer day for the Vikes secondary...... They need to ram AP down the Dallas throat. They'll have to wear down and outscore Dallas - could be a major shootout.
Hugh 0ne
could be a major shootout. Being that I'll be starting Favre, Austin, Roy Williams, and Harvin, I hope you're right! I have some bye week issues in case you're wondering.

He always struggles against the top tackles and feasts on the average ones...
Chadman
I'm tired of watching these games and expecting the Purple front four to put pressure on QB's like last year. They simply are not getting to the Qb this year. If they don't start blitzing a LB (instead of continually faking it, and dropping back into covering nobody position) or defensive backs, they will not be as strong as past seasons. Teams are running on them now, they're getting no pressure, and losing their top 2 CB's is going to continue to hurt them. Asher Allen and Lito Sheppard look lost out there, and our safeties are still not doing much. All that being said, the defense is good, and the offense might be VERY good in a couple of games. They NEED to put more pressure on QB's and win 2 of the next 3, which now look easier than earlier, amazingly. Griffin is a big loss, IMO. Delicious_bass
He always struggles against the top tackles and feasts on the average ones... Pretty much I happen to think Allen is highly overrated. He pads his sack totals in a couple home games every year against inferior/backup O-linemen but all but disappears against the better ones. He tries the outside speed rush too much, IMO, and runs himself (or gets pushed) right out of the play. He's predictable and teams are able to scheme for him easier as a result. Allen needs to step it up and the other overrated underachiever Edwards needs to, too. With the Williamses clogging up the middle, one (if not both) of the ends should be reaking havoc more often and its just not happening.
