whomper
Who have you dropped in dynasty leagues for one reason or another that ended up coming back to haunt you ? I had Hillis and a 5 year contract and I dropped him during the period where you dont absorb dead years. I also had and dropped Torain. Anyone else ? nimal
Not to b to off topic, but you do "contracts" in your dynasty league? Interesting concept... Do you know of a site that tracks that sort of stuff?

Do you know of a site that tracks that sort of stuff? MFL does. I am fairly new to dynasty with contracts but i am in 2 leagues that are set up that way and they are both hosted by mfl mfl=myfantasyleague Edited October 19, 2010 by whomper

whomper
Interesting, I am hosting a Dynasty league in yahoo and it is a pain, but this contract stuff has me intrigued... It is pretty interesting. Like i said, I am pretty new to it but there are guys on these boards that are very schooled at it and have been in leagues like this for a long time. When contracts expire people can bid on your player during restricted free agency, you can franchise tag players. Its complex but enjoyable. MTSuper7
I cut Brandon Lloyd and BenJarvus Green Ellis at the very end of the preseason this year to get down to roster size. I had a feeling about Lloyd, but I decided to bail on him. And like a true genius, I left Josh Cribbs on my roster.
whomper
How are you doing a dynasty without contracts? I am in a huddle dynasty league like that. its pretty cool. Still have the dynasy format of carrying over the team and rookie drafts but no rfa's / contracts. Its a nice change of pace

MustOfBeenDrunk
How are you doing a dynasty without contracts? I'm in several dynasties and none have contracts ,, you draft , trade or grab a player off the wire and he is yours until you decide to drop or trade him away ,,, limited to 20 roster spot though so you can't just stash a bunch of players
keggerz
i cut brandon lloyd at roster declaration time....wait for it...wait for it.... last year oh and traded an RFA that was kept for cheap named James Anderson for the rights to Thomas Davis who went for a ton or loot to keep Edited October 19, 2010 by keggerz
montster
Can't recall dropping anyone major, but during the free agency auction before the 2008 season, I gave up a first-round pick in the rookie draft to grab Garrard, who I had a really good feeling about. Grits and Shins
I dropped Steve Smith (CAR) the year before he started a long string of great years. I dropped Miles Austin beginning of last year I dropped MSW after week 1 last year

Gopher
Too many to remember them all, I'm sure... But, yeah, I know I dropped Amendola and Torain this off-season, just off the top of my head. Even more painful than that is the fact that I have traded for Finley in nearly every keeper/dynasty league that I'm in. In one dynasty auction league, where we can start up to three TE's (and PPR is tiered, making top TE's arguably more valuable than most top WR's), I had been starting Cooley, Finley, and Gates. Needless to say, I was 5-0 going into this past weekend, with three of the top TE's in the league. Now, I'm 5-1, and all three are hurt (one on IR). Man, how quickly things can change (for good or bad) in fantasy football.
gilthorp
Green Ellis off the taxi squad this year, and should have just promoted him to the active roster. Stupid ass move.
Pope Flick
The past few years I always threw my last draft pick at a guy with stupid college numbers taht NFL teams passed on. Bess and Woodhead made that list and I ran out of patience with both. Edited October 21, 2010 by Pope Flick
euphy
Nothing really significant, but I did drop Santonio Holmes, Michael Bush and Johnny Knox. One guy in my league dropped Austin Collie, he's still kicking himself.

wolfer
DJ Williams in 2008. A shoulder injury landed him on IR, I kept Dansby instead. Dansby gets traded, DJ maintains stud status in the new regime. Argh...
