Scorcher
The Baltimore Ravens are expected to give RB Willis McGahee more touches during the team's remaining games, reports Mike Preston, of The Baltimore Sun. The Ravens likely will give McGahee carries in the first half of future games. Does this mean Rice hardly plays the 1st half? I wonder what the time share will be? I would say it means he'll get in the neighborhood of 5 or so carries per game (maybe a few more if he's really cranking, which he won't be). I think they just want to get him involved a little earlier so he's not cold on the bench for the second half in case he's needed. I don't see this impacting Rice at all. JUMbotron
I think his 0 touches was definitely a "let's-preserve-him-because-there's-a-juicy-trade-offer-on-the-table" kind of thing. Whatever the trade offer was, it fell through. He remains a Raven, and I bet he jumps back into his normal role.
Scooby's Hubby
get him in there on the short yardage downs to take the big hits. Entering the 2nd half of the season soon and Balt is priming for their usual mid-season run. they need to be more worried about preserving some of their defensive players.
