Yesterday the Rock Hill Herald was saying Smith was probably out this week, but it looks like they jumped the gun. Maybe that Rock Hill guy was facing Steve Smith this week in his fantasy league, a little wishful thinking. Smith heals fast. Stay tuned. theeohiostate Posted October 20, 2010 Share Posted October 20, 2010 Updating a previous item, Steve Smith (ankle) was a full participant in his return to practice Wednesday.The Gaston Gazette confirms that Smith "is expected to play" in Week 7 against San Francisco. "I feel like I’m healthy," said Smitty. "I’m out of the boot and I don’t have much pain so I’m able to move around. I feel good." The 49ers rank 11th against the pass, but have given up nine passing TDs through six games. Consider Smith a WR2 heading into the matchup.
