Chief Dick
So it looks like Kitna will be the hot waiver pick up this week. What do Cowboys homers project for the next 8 weeks or so? Do you think he can put up numbers close to Romo's? He used to throw a lot of TD's for the Bengals a few years ago.
i_am_the_swammi
Actually, I think he'll be more than serviceable. IMO, the Cowboys will run the ball quite a bit more, which should better set up the pass to a degree. I think the 13-17 RB carries per game will turn into 22-25 carries per game. Kitna won't be asked to throw 50+ times, but I think he'll be in a position to complete high percentage passes. Remember, the guy hasn't taken a snap in almost two years. Tonight's performance is an aberration, as he wasn't prepared to play. Kitna's a solid veteran.....I expect a better showing next week. historymike
He also knows how to take a beating in the pass rush, an unusual "skill" he developed as a member of the Lions. This is going to be useful with the O-line woes of the Cowboys: I have seen Kitna get utterly creamed, then stand right back up and fire a long completion on the next play. Kitna ain't fancy, but he is much more than a washed up hack. He will also put his shoulder down and dive for extra yards in a tight game (yes, I saw the slide in the Giants game tonight). Grits and Shins
Behind this o-line Kitna is going to get creamed
MTSuper7
Behind this o-line Kitna is going to get creamed +1, he's not nearly as mobile or improvisational as Romo. Sacks should come in droves.
BeerLeagueQB
Kitna has 187 yards, 2TDs and 0 Ints... I'm picking him up with my #1 WW priority.

BeerLeagueQB
I'm going to grab Fitzpatrick Fitz is gone in my league. 2 QB league... the WW is very slim when it comes to QBs. I'm talking Colt McCoy is the next best option.

I'm talking Colt McCoy is the next best option. We only start 1 QB ... but mine are Schaub and Bradford ... I'm convinced now that Fitz is an upgrade. Sadly I'm 2-5 in that league so I'm probably flushing transaction money down the toilet
rocknrobn26
Behind this o-line Kitna is going to get creamed Nod plus he's long in the tooth. 2 good years since 2004.
wolfer
Kitna has 187 yards, 2TDs and 0 Ints... I'm picking him up with my #1 WW priority. That was garbage time with gifts from the Giants. That said next week's Jax matchup is a great way to start things off.
hoosierfan2010
Not convinced he can get it done. His success late in the game was on garbage time posessions thanks to gifts from Eli Manning and Co. Sure he plays the Jags next week, but there are many better plays than this guy. I hope someone in my league blows their ww priority on this guy and I know it will happen.

Limit that statement to 1 QB leagues. In most 2 QB leagues, there really aren't better options. In my 2, looking at the ww, there's OAK QB, ARI QB, Matt Moore, David Carr for as long as Smith is out, and Garrard is available in 1. I could see an argument where Gradkowski might be a better play than Kitna, though I'm not sure we even know if Gradkowski's going to be the starter this week. Kitna looks worthy of ww priority in this situation though.
