INTOXICATED
Colts receiver not sure how long he’ll be out Michael Marot, The Associated Press 4 minutes ago Email Print INDIANAPOLIS - Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Austin Collie(notes) still doesn't know how much time he'll miss after having surgery on his right thumb. The Colts host Houston on Monday night. Collie ranks fourth in the NFL with 44 receptions this season and has 503 yards and six touchdowns. But before an autograph session Tuesday night at an Indianapolis restaurant, Collie said he "couldn't put a timetable" on his return. He was signing with his left hand. Collie was injured in an Oct. 17 game at Washington. He says the hand got jammed between two helmets as he made a block. He says he taped the thumb up and continued to play. Collie says after the game, he realized the injury was more severe than a jammed finger — an injury that required surgery.

joeyb7
I hear you, but unless you're in a 6 team league I can't see cutting him....even if you have to wait 4-5 weeks or longer. My problem is what will happen when he comes back....I'm sure Gonzo will be hurt, but who knows if he can get right back in the mix.

historymike
Just till week 28. Don't cut him just yet. And get this, y'all: I just found out Ryan freaking Grant is out for the season. I wish somebody would have, you know, held a press conference or something. If only there was this system by which NFL teams could keep each other and the fans apprised of injuries, like a mandatory injury reporting requirement or something. That would be a good idea. I wonder why no one has thought of that before?

CaP'N GRuNGe
Pssst...i've got a sleeper at RB for you guys. Should be available on most waiver wires. Run, don't walk, and pick up Indy RB Fred Lane. He's sure to take over for Addai sooner or later...

Huh - with those four bullets Lane took you'd think Indy would put him on the injury report as "questionable." Frigging Tony Dungy must be taking a page from the Bill Belichik school of Injury Report Manipulation. I'm still stashing lane in my keeper league, though - thanks for the tip. Crazysight
Yeah what about this "tuck rule" thing? You guys ever hear about that before? Well apparently if a QB is in the act of tucking the ball away after doing a pump fake and fumbles, it's not really a fumble! I couldn't believe it when I found out!
