Company of Heroes
Dead weight for weeks and RBBC even when he gets back. Is it over? Back slowly off the ledge and look forward to solid production after the Week 10 BYE. -CoH
doing_it_live
Back slowly off the ledge and look forward to solid production after the Week 10 BYE. -CoH +1 We can speculate on anything, but its to early to throw in the towel unless you are 1-6 and need some kind of miracle. (which prob wont happen) Edited October 28, 2010 by doing_it_live
Avernus
I have no problem with holding onto him until after the week 10 bye... when he comes back, it'll be PT and Bush.....and that is fine...
theeohiostate
It wouldn't surprise me to see PT have an operation and be done for the season. The return of Bush , imo would help Ivory and the backfield would be efficient enough to send PT to IR

historymike
I dropped him...done with this issue. Picked up Blount and kept Ivory. I have been soooo tempted to dump Thomas the past few days, especially with news that DWill might also be out for me, leaving me in a bye week with Woodhead and R. Mathews as my starters (gulp). But I am going to take a deep breath, avoid the knee-jerk reaction, and pray that my WRs step up and save my mangled team this week. At worst, I lose out on the likes of Darren Sproles, Ladell Betts, or CJ Spiller off the waiver wire this week (gack), while at best I wind up with a healthier Pierre Thomas, who could return in Week 10 and give me a much-needed boost going into and through the playoffs. SLAYER
If anyone thought PT was coming back before week 11, have you been under a rock for the last 3 weeks.

No surgery needed on ankle sprains, just rest.

I was in the same position last week, Foster on bye and PT on bench, played Blount and Torain with fingers crossed, luckily White and Nicks showed up big. Also had Bradford in place of Schaub. I'm thinking if Blount gets it going I won't even need PT. He could still be some kind of trade bait if you can hold on until after his bye. theeohiostate
PT has a high ankle sprain, albeit a pretty bad one. No surgery needed on ankle sprains, just rest. How could you possibly know what his problem is, when he or the doctors dont even know? In addition to sporting a walking boot Thursday, Pierre Thomas (ankle) was also getting around with the aid of crutches.Thomas says his ankle has "gotten a lot better," and he's only following his foot and ankle specialist's orders to take pressure off. Although the swelling has gone down, Thomas is "upset" that he's not making more tangible progress. "I really don't know what's the whole problem," he said. "Everybody keeps saying it's a sprain or maybe a little tear there. I don't know for sure if that's true. I'm hearing so many different stories. I don't know what to believe." We don't expect to see him in game action before Week 11.
HowboutthemCowboys
I dropped him...done with this issue. Picked up Blount and kept Ivory. meh.. I'm holding. I have better guys than Blount starting with P.T. on the bench. Why not wait and see?
BeeR
I have no problem with holding onto him until after the week 10 bye... when he comes back, it'll be PT and Bush.....and that is fine... Bush typically gets only a few carries a game. I'd be more worried about Ivory.
APinMN
I dropped PT to cover bye week issues, kept A Hernandez since I will be needing him before PT is back....MAY try get him back next week, we'll see...
SLAYER
how come PT doesn't get dropped in any of my leagues?
FUBARED
how come PT doesn't get dropped in any of my leagues? I drafted PT and will not drop him until I hear he's on the IR. Fortunately I have SJAX and Bradshaw plus just picked up Blount.

RattlerB
I'm actually considering dropping PT to pick up a kicker. Seriously.
Do Work Son
Dropped him last week bc of bye week issues and he's still out there(10 team local league) kind of makes me feel like I did the right thing
budlitebrad
Unless they stick him on IR, I'm holding on for a possible playoff run.
gardenthug
How could you possibly know what his problem is, when he or the doctors dont even know? Because ankle injuries that require surgery don't take 2+ months to diagnos. If there was a fracture or tear significant enough to warrant surgery, it would be done by now. Unfortunately, I have lots of bye week woes this week. If PT is still there next week, I may pick him back up.
