osu1322
A friend and I are starting to get tired of our current FFL. Man issue is the group that we play with is alright but we r having issues with changes from last year to this year. First off on all the changes there was no league vote the Commish just changed it. This is the biggest issue we r dealing with. He changed the # of teams, the scoring system, the positions, and how much the leauge costs.... The only question we were askes r u in or out??? Because of this my friend and I r planning on startin a new leauge next year. We've already started asking around testing the waters with hopeful friends that r willing to join. The main reason I posted this is to get ideas for good and bad rules from the forums. We;ve been throwing around ideas for money payout, positions, what site we should play on, innjury back up rules, and even a betting pool for side bets..... I'm curious if anyone on here had good rule ideas that we haven't thought of or problems that might occur with starting a leauge.
M33ZY
My favorite league is: 12 team ESPN Standard Scoring and Standard rosters All trades allowed (unless collusion)
gsmayes
Personally, I'd like to see thehuddle revisit their perfect scoring article. I've been wanting to try a league with those rules, but they seem to be skewed too far towards the TE, since it seems like they've been used more in the NFL since that article was written. scoring wise, 4pt passing TDs are a must, I like 0.5ppr (a full point is too much), league without negative points for turnovers are lame and I love having a flex spot. onbrake
In my league trades got out of hand so I look at all trades before they can be accepted.Keeps the managers in line.
G.K.Trey
In my league trades got out of hand so I look at all trades before they can be accepted.Keeps the managers in line. who the hell are u? the commissioner is not to decide if I am "in line" or not. You there to enforce the league rules period.

Patriots
I think it would be fun to do like a 12 team league with no draft. Anyone can start anyone they want but you can only use the same guy once for the season. Guys reset for the playoffs. Not sure how good it would work. joeyb7
In my league trades got out of hand so I look at all trades before they can be accepted.Keeps the managers in line. Now this is one league I'd never want to be in.... I'd never want my commish weighing in on what he thinks is a fair trade. If there's a lot of backlash about potential collusion it should go to the league for a majority vote. If there are a lot of stupid trades but no collusion, then next season just find less stupid league participants.

Not the job of commish to impose their sense of value on trades unless they are involved in the trade. All the commish should do is make sure their is no collusion which in itself is pretty difficult to prove. Totally agree with GK and joeyb Edited October 31, 2010 by slambo

osu1322
what rules have you thought of? well we were talking about scoring first off. In our current leauge RBs and WRs get 0.1 for each yard. (last year we have 4 ties that messed up who got into the playoffs) For Qb 4 pt TDs and 0.5 per 10 yards. Our Leauge is also a ppr leauge. One of our biggest grips was positionis. the currently r QB RB RB/WR WR WR/TE TE D/ST k 2 things that we were talking about was TE being considered as WR. Mainly cause the stud TEs are split outs, and slot recievers most of them time. The other thing is we can only start 2 RBs. We both thing that if we have 3 stud RBs we should be able to play them. My friend thought up this lineup to have a very flexible team. QB RB RB/WR RB/WR WR WR D/ST K In this format we consider TE as WR and are either able to start 4 WRs or 3 RBs. It will let the team play it's best players. It also give more freedom to drafting 2 rbs with the same bye week cause u can run 4 WRs.... I'm not sold 100% on it but I at least like the idea. Scooby's Hubby
I think that the waiver process is just as important as scoring set up. There are so many ways to do add/drops and combinations thereof. The placement throughout the week and the bidding process is very important. Also, if there will be a add/drop period after the blind bidding, etc.
osu1322
Yeah that is another aspect that we're unsure of. We haven't done an auction system and have just done a draft. The waiver system is important but like I said we're just knocking around ideas. What sort of Waiver systems do u guys use? are there any special rules that go along with them?
