buddahj
In my two locals, trades are few & far between. In the one, I think we've had 3-4 trades in the last 5-6 years. In the other, usually 2-3 trades a year. But it always seems to be the same 3-4 guys. So, I decided to shake things up & put A. Rodgers (6 pt passing TDs), Vernon Davis & Brandon Marshall on the block to try & upgrade my RBs. Not a text, call, email, or ridiculous low-ball offer. I pretty bummed about it. Well, Rodgers still has a BYE week coming, Finley on IR, and Driver is out at least this week. Plus, the weather is only going to get worse in Sconny. Davis is battling injury and has still has a Smith throwing at him. Marshall has only 1TD on the year and a tough stretch of games near the end IIRC. Could be you are overvalueing the players you've offered. Could also be that anyone who has a RB worth anything is holding on for dear life

rajncajn
Pretty much the same in my local. The only thing I can figure is they know I have a lot more experience and they are too scared that I know something they don't and I'm trying to take advantage of them.... Well, I am, but still... lkirc
I think most fantasy football owners don't know how to trade. If you want to make a deal, putting someone "on the block" isn't going to get you many offers. You need to do the work of putting together some offers, hoping for a counter or two. Most people I trade with don't ever take the time to make an initial offer. I have to take the initiative to start the process. Especially in a league with so few trades. These owners may be nervous about putting together an offer. You do the work and good things will happen......

Ursa Majoris
Could also be that anyone who has a RB worth anything is holding on for dear life This, most likely. My starting RBs in various leagues are 3rd string guys due to so many others being in the treatment room or already sipping pina coladas in Barbados.
