Moss a Titan

And Nate Washington's not liking it, lol. Imagine that.

Per Roto

Nate Washington indicated Wednesday that he's not excited about the Titans' addition of Randy Moss.

We can't say we blame him. Washington's numbers are likely to go down, particularly when Kenny Britt returns from his hamstring injury. "I don't really think we need him," said Washington just before the move became official Wednesday. "I'm going to speak up and say that we have so many good young guys. ... We aren't individuals ... We have a team goal in mind."

Wasn't Washington better in the slot in PIT as a #3 WR with Burress and Ward?

Apparently, Washington hasn't paid close attention to what Harvin and Welker have done with Moss there.

That's what I was thinking as well but even Roto is on board that the addition of Moss hampers Nates production. When Britt comes back, that's a different story but until then, I can't see how Nate CAN'T grow.

I think the point is that TEN is only going to throw so many times per game. He isn't Harvin/Welker and TEN's passing O ain't MIN's/NE's, so there's only so much passing love to go around.

Nate won't be so pissed if the Titans get to the playoffs where each player collects more game checks. As of 2008 the postseason payouts per player were as below. They're surely higher now.

Wild Card (Division Winner): $20,000

Wild Card (Other): $18,000

Divisional Playoffs : $20,000

Conference Championship : $37,500

Super Bowl (Winner): $78,000

Super Bowl (Loser): $40,000

Tennessee is lethal with the deep pass. The OC draws up at least 4-6 "go" routes a game. It's a misconception that Tennessee doesn't throw the ball down the field. The opportunities are there, you just have to capatilize when given one.

Washington never played with Burress, Burress left the Steelers after the 04 season and Washington started with them in the 05 season.
