MTSuper7
With Gates listed as doubtful, does this guy have legit WR3 numbers in him this weekend vs. the putrid Texan defense? As long as my waiver claim goes through, I am rolling the dice and starting him over Santonio Holmes. Anyone else considering him this weekend? montster
In a 14-team league, I just dropped Gonzalez for Seyi and plan to start him.

historymike
Ajirotutu will see 4-5 targets, and you are probably looking at 6 points or so in standard scoring. I suspect Holmes would be likely to be on the receving end of more targets, plus the Jets are known to work in the occasional WR end around. That being said, Houston's pass defense is quite a bit weaker than that of the Lions, and the edge here would be Rivers versus Sanchez *cough*. On the basis of having a more competent QB pitching him the pigskin, I like Ajirotutu this week better than Holmes. Â Also, we have to work the nickname "Desmond" into Ajirotutu's name somehow. muck
For those who are interested in these sorts of things, I'm in a dynasty-ish league w/ the almighty himself (DMD) ... and he just picked up Seyi yesterday.

historymike
I think I may drop Lee Evans for Seyi and play him in place of either DeSean Jackson or Mathews... You kept DJax on your roster for a reason, atrpunk, which I think goes something like this: "DJax is a gifted WR and return specialist who can post monster points." If DJax is a go for the game Sunday, you gotta roll the dice with him, brother. Otherwise, why did you waste that roster space if you could be satisfied with the likes of Lee Evans or Seyi Ajirotutu? Â OK. Jokes up. Â Who are you? No way someone who joined on the 21st of October would come here and offer good solid advice right off the bat. Not to mention take some smack like I saw in another thread by backing up your arguments in a good, coherant, non-threatening manner. Â Welcome aboard. historymike
OK. Jokes up. Who are you? No way someone who joined on the 21st of October would come here and offer good solid advice right off the bat. Not to mention take some smack like I saw in another thread by backing up your arguments in a good, coherant, non-threatening manner.  Welcome aboard.  Heh - I somehow have managed to not stumble upon The Huddle in 16 years of playing fantasy football, but I like both the give-and-take and the quality of the postings. I used to post at Fanball, then I migrated to the forums at Barracuda Sports after the Great Fanball Exodus of 2007-2008. I went without a home to post smack after Barracuda screwed up their system and reset a bunch of user accounts, and so I grumbled at the loss of a couple thousand posts.  Anyways, thanks for the compliment, Chief Dick. After almost two decades of screwing up FF drafts and lineups, I have learned a couple of things about how to assemble a competitive squad. And yet in my big money league I am 0-for-4 in FF Super Bowl championships. The trophy will be well worth the wait, as 6 of the original 10 members are still in this local league, and every draft is an exercise in rehashing how the Brooks Bombers post mighty regular season records while tanking in the playoffs.  In 2005 my team started 11-2-1, led wire-to-wire, and then collapsed in the FF Super Bowl to a 6-8 regular season wild card team. Two mistakes cost me that trophy: I benched Willis McGahee, who was a late start and posted 2 TDs and 110 yards, while I started Matt Hasselbeck, who mysteriously became a 4:00 scratch in favor of Trent Dilfer. Oh, the howling in Chateau Brooks as I watched my dream season go up in smoke by a couple of farked up last minute personnel changes. I would recommend a thick skin at times around here, but I can tell you without a doubt that I've seen people here do some amazing things for others. Not just fantasy football but in life as well.  This is a true community, and if you stick around long enough, you'll call a lot of people around here your friends. Many people here have met in person, hung out with their families, and become part of each others lives outside of the boards. Pretty cool spot.  Just stay away from whomper and you'll be ok. Chargerz
He's a rookie and green as can be. He might get 5-7 targets, catch about 3-5 balls, gain 40-70 yards, and get lucky with a score. Is that what you're looking for?

Chargerz
You sound a little pessimistic? as for 4/60 with a possible score, that's pretty good for such a bye week. Sorry if I came across as pessimistic. My intent was to give realistic guesses. He DOES have Rivers throwing to him, so on that basis alone alot of people will start him this week. Â Toying with the idea of sitting Ocho (who has been dreadful when games are close) and Evans (Canada is going to be cooooooold) for the rook playing in the dome against the league's poorest excuse for a pass defense. Â If I feel I can get 8 targets out of him, they might be more valuable than the 10 Ocho or Evans get... Â Sometimes hard to find online, and I look forward to becoming a regular here, Chief Dick. My skin is pretty thick (I worked as a journalist for most of the past decade) and I generally favor a karmic approach to FF discussions: give out your best advice, don't whine, and treat people with respect, even when they act like a-holes. Life is too short to collect Internet resentments and grudges.
