Seyi Ajirotutu, Week 9 savior?

San Diego will pull this out.

Chiefs are done. They have been skating by for 8 weeks. They just aren't there yet.

I just don;t know about that. Cassel has looked decent of late but the KC D has done a great job. I think if that D continues to grow, there could be a true fight for the division. A 3 headed monster (my poor, poor Broncos won't even be the water boy for these other teams) that could make this division interesting. Now, compeditive with the rest of the AFC, well, probably not but it's still progress.

This Ajirotutu situation reminds me of picking up Miles Austin last year before his breakout game vs. KC. Obviously the kid doesn't have the same rest of season outlook as Miles last year, but how often can you pick up a relatively unknown WR as a bye week filler and get 100+ yds and 2 TDs?

I actually think he could have value in week 11. They have no reason to rush Floyd back if he's not 100%, so it might be the Crayton and Ajirotutu show again in week 11. Of course, Gates will probably be back after the bye, which will hurt his value.

This is a good take on the situation. Hammys don't heal fast.

If any of you watched the game, did you see Rivers audible on the play that Seyi, errr, Tutu, errr, Desmond, whatever, scored his second TD???

OMG

Rivers played that D like a yoyo on that play. He made the audible that had the RB reset to and outside receiver spot on, outside of Tutu. This made his read of the protection absolutely clear and he knew he had a TD if he put the ball on target before the snap.

As long as Rivers stands, the Chargers are not out of it. Now with all the WRs coming back, it will be even more fun to watch him (except for those who hate his guts  ).

You lost to a good team in their home. It ain't done. Plus, you play my Broncos this week, so if your team takes them seriously, it should be an easy win.

The Chiefs have been skating on thin ice most of the season.

This team will finish 8-8 and out of the playoffs.

And I agree with McBoog, it's definitely a lot more fun this season with the division shaping up the way it is. I'd forgotten how much agony it is sometimes watching a competitive team.

I don't know about this.

I generally break down upcoming game expectations like this, Should Lose, Don't expect a win, Could Win, Should Win.

I have looked at the upcoming games for each team and I do think San Diego has the most favorable schedule. HOWEVER, when I look at the Chiefs, I see only two "Should Lose" (meaning I don't expect them to win). The Raiders have at least four Should Lose DEW games IMO. I think the Raiders are on much shakier ground than the Chiefs, mostly due to the QB position, and you have to go with the best QBs down the stretch, (unless you are the Ravens and are starting Dilfer!!! )

The Chargers have closed well the last few years, and if they fix the mental errors and awful special teams, both doable, especially with all the players coming back after the bye, there is only one game, at Indy that to me is a Don't Expect a Win. The rest are either Could/Should Win games.

If the Chiefs continue to play at a high level, then this is a horse race. Just because I see the Raider schedule less favorably, doesn't mean they can't go on a roll either and my Bolts could tank it out, just like the beginning of the season.

My prediction as of right now is that the Chargers squeak it out in the AFC West with a 10-6 record. If they don't get their cumulative sh!t together, they are in for a rude awakening next year!

I think Gates kills his value quite a bit. Ajirotutu was a phenomenal fill-in but I just don't see him having any long-term value unless Floyd and VJax both get hurt . . .

You kept DJax on your roster for a reason, atrpunk, which I think goes something like this: "DJax is a gifted WR and return specialist who can post monster points." If DJax is a go for the game Sunday, you gotta roll the dice with him, brother. Otherwise, why did you waste that roster space if you could be satisfied with the likes of Lee Evans or Seyi Ajirotutu?

I actually was only going to sit DJAX if he was iffy (concussion report wasnt out yet)...I ended up sitting Mathews and starting Ajirotutu in his place and it worked out fine...but thanks anyway

2nd WR I've overpaid for in my dynasty. Hope he amounts to something down the road.

With Sproles and Vjax gone next year, Buster Davis injured all the time, and Floyd wanting a new contract, Ajirotutu is a good investment in a dynasty league.

That was my thinking. Still, there's nothing more irritating than thinking that everyone else in the league is considering the same thing and will bid appropriately. I thought I was risking it by bidding $9, but the next highest bid was only $1.

Picked him up 10 minutes before kickoff, and started him in 32 Homarrrs (have Welker on a bye)... That catch netted me 3.55 points. I'll take it... The alternatives were Josh Cribbs, Mike Thomas,Trindon Holliday (all return guys, and we don't get return yardage points), or D.J. Williams. The four of them combined are averaging about what Seyi got me last night, so yeah, I'll take it.

I don't think I would have picked him up in anything less than a 32-team league, though, unless my WR's were pretty much putrid.
