Grits and Shins
Thank you. Per ESPN radio. 'bout time they got rid of doughboy, but I have no aspirations that Red Jesus will make it any better. Hopefully Jerry will see that Garrett is not the man for the job and hire a REAL HC next year. Furd
Yer lucky. If William Clay Ford owned the Cowboys, he'd have given Phillips an extension.

Grits and Shins
First mid-season firing of a HC in the history of the Cowboys ... and so well deserved too.
Menudo
Congrats Cowboys fans. This is definitely a step in the right direction.
Grits and Shins
Congrats Cowboys fans. This is definitely a step in the right direction. A "step"? It is a frickin marathon in the right direction. Or course as soon as Jerry replaces Red Jesus with another Wade look alike (or makes Garrett permanent) then we will be right back on the precipice again. rajncajn
Honestly I'm not sure what this really does for the team. If nothing else at least Jones will finally get to see how much worse Garrett can do.
Bronco Billy
Well, DAL has a shot at finishing 2-14 now... Well done, Jerrah.

Hugh 0ne
Honestly I'm not sure what this really does for the team. If nothing else at least Jones will finally get to see how much worse Garrett can do. There is not a single reason for keeping Wade Phillips in as the head coach. Y'all can save that "mid-season coaching won't help a team" blabber. Wade needed to go, regardless of what the rest of this season or the future brings. There was not a single positive thing that would have come from keeping him in Dallas. Same can be said for the bumbling buffoon in Minnesota. The only way you'll ever get any accountability is if Jones fires the General Manager as well.

BearBroncos
NOW the Cowboys can make their Super Bowl run!!! I also heard in celebration that they are building a new stadium. This one will cost 3 billion.
theeohiostate
This is a GREAT move for JJ He has 1/2 a season to evaluate Garrett, if he doesn't like what he sees, he'll look elsewhere saving him more aggravation next year.

Possibly 1-1/2 depending on what happens with the CBA.

There was not a single positive thing that would have come from keeping him in Dallas. Not for him either. He looked like a man in need of release last night. However bad he may be, I wouldn't wish his position (leaving the $$$ aside) on anyone. I will bet he feels a lot better right now.

kingfish247
The only thing is accomplishes is the beginning of accountability. Hopefully Garrett will also reveal himself a fraud too. Accountability starts at the top. Without a guy between Jerrah and everyone else, there will be not be any real accountability.
