keggerz
If a player runs out of bounds does the defensive player closest to the runner get credited with a tackle? depends...it is up to the scorekeeper...sometimes they give the tackle and sometimes they don't
Scooby's Hubby
did you know? before 2001, NFL teams kept their own tackle stats. probably the most misleading stat of all, you can imagine it was like having a hometown score keeper in baseball where some errors are hits. sometimes they would call them "stops" which could also include assists.
