RussMan
Just and FYI- MFL is allowed lineup changes for players that played on Thursday - specifically players that had already played on Thursday could be replaced. It may have only been for teams that didnt submit a lineup yet so starters from the previous week were played. Still - it shouldnt have happedn.. just a heads up. Ursa Majoris
That's a league-specific setting. ETA: And yes, the previous week will overwrite the current week if no lineup is set. It is an EXCELLENT site to use. That's a league-specific setting. This

Big Country
the more I hear about MFL, the less and less I like it. What happened in Russman's league most likely is that an owner did not submit a lineup prior to Thursday, and the league is set such that the previous week's lineup is not automatically submitted until the end of the games if no lineup is submitted. So this particular team COULD NOT have used a Thursday player if they wanted to change anyone else, and could only keep the Thursday players in as a default if they made no changes to their lineup. Essentially this team had NO LINEUP in and the submitted a lineup using only available players. Nothing wrong there unless you like to force your owners to use their previous weeks lineup if they didn't submit one prior to early kickoffs. Rather than knock the product if you don't like that option, knock the commish or league rules for setting it up that way.
MikesVikes
One way that you would be able to do that, is have your lineup default to last week's by not submitting one this week. Was someone able to submit a lineup with a player that already played? I've never seen that one.

We had that same philosophical scoring problem until we decided to give ZERO points if an owner does not submit a lineup by 1:00 PM on Sunday. No carry forward because of the very issue cited in the original post.
