robert terni
Ok we have 10 teams 2 5 team divisions....Now 1 team already clinched the division but the 2nd place team has a better record then the other division winner team...Does the 2nd place team get the 1st round bye over the other division winner due to having a better record or no?? Or do both division winners get the 1st round bye regardless of record

Big John
If not spelled out in the rules, the division winners get the top seeds and the other playoff teams are wildcards. So both division winners get the first-round byes.

I'd agree with this, any other scheme pretty much devalues the reason for having divisions in general, and takes away any benefit of winning a division in particular. TheAdonis2010
i know yahoo divisional winners mean nothing ....the top 2 records would get the byes if tis not listed in the rules i would treat it like the nfl....afc and nfc..top seed in each would get the bye and they would be on opposite ends of the brackets, playing each other if they win out. I can't say much cause our 3 division leauge the best 2 records gets the bye... Most of the time the Division winners are the leaders though.... Agree also. What's the point in having divisions if winning one reaps no reward? I would even go as far as saying that equal numbers of teams should come out of each division if your schedules throughout the season are division weighted.
