Bier Meister Posted November 25, 2010 Share Posted November 25, 2010 got off of work early, so able to help with all of the prep/cooking. cranberries are done. dressing is in the oven. potatoes are peeled an cut for mashers. we'll pop the turkey in in a couple of hours... then going to do a raspberry/chocolate bread pudding (with croissants). my favorite holiday by far! food, family, friends, football! bpwallace49 Posted November 25, 2010 Share Posted November 25, 2010 Happy Thanksgiving! Did mashed potatoes last night . . stuffing in the slow cooker . . . cutting sweet potatoes. Just took turkey number ONE out of the brine and almost ready to fry. Seasoning and drying the duck . . . frying 2 turkeys and a duck mustard/clove/brown sugar ham in the oven slow cooker sausage/apple/fennel dressing (not called stuffing cause it aint in teh bird) mashers done sweet potato and pear casserole with a bourbon glaze being prepped. Brussel sprouts/carrots/bacon being prepped. 2 turkeys are brined before injecting and dry rubbed with sage/parsley/cajun mix. Duck is dried, and rubbed with chinese 5 spice mix (we invited a Chinese family that has no idea what Thanksgiving is, hence the Asian theme duck) Green bean casserole being brought be another neighbor Pretzel rolls and onion rolls done. pies done yesterday I cheat on the gravy . . . I have my chef make me a gallon of sage/pepper dressing and vacu-seal it. jand plently of Great Lakes Christmas Ale for lubrication . . .
