A few questiosn to ask yourself: 1. Why am I blogging? Are you looking for a small circle of friends, or do you have larger goals (i.e., making money, landing some sort of lucrative gig)? 2. Do I have the patience to wait weeks or months before anyone notices me? Even the most diligent self-promoters will have little traffic in the beginning. 3. Am I will to promote my wortk tirelessly? The more you work, the greater your results (traffic as well as financial). No matter what your goals, there is a lot of work in promoting a website, and you should expect to pour hundreds of hours into getting out the word about your site. Your blog looks pretty popular. -hershey824 I have blogged for over five years, moving from a sort of citizen journalism to high-level thinkery and navel-gazing. "Popular" is in the eye of the beholder, but the site somehow managed to rake in a ton of traffic (and a fair amount of green - the advertising cash that is flying around the blogosphere is mind-boggling ). You currently have a 1 way blog - all broadcast, no engagement. Fix it and you'll succeed. ETA: The design is too busy, you're losing legibility which will ultimately lose followers. Anyway, I thought a "blog" was an opinion piece, not a rehash of dull statistics that are available elsewhere. Just write about your opinions, and then see if we care.
